SONIC THE HEDGEHOG #4 Hits A Small Speed Bump

Monkeys Fighting Robots

The new Sonic The Hedgehog series from IDW comics written by Ian Flynn has had an impressive debut with four new issues coming out in the month of April 2018. Will the fourth issue of the this run prove to be the first misstep with the new series?

Summary

Sonic meets up with his old friend Blaze the Cat and makes a new one with Tangle the Lemur.

Writing

This issue presents the first problem with the IDW series. With a new series, especially one based on a property with a lot of mythology behind it, there is a need to find a proper balance with the storytelling. There must be a mixture of explaining straight out what the fans can expect to happen in the new series, making sure not to dump too much on the reader, and not spoon feed the information to the point it becomes boring. Take the Transformers series for example. The aspect of combination didn’t come right away. Sure the constructicons were able to combine but this was explained as being a rare occurrence. This made it clear to fans not to expect the teams to combine every time they show up in a story line. The introduction of Blaze jumps ahead and makes it hard to understand what to expect from the series.

Blaze is a character who comes from another dimension with her own set of Chaos Emeralds, the Sol Emeralds. Unfortunately, the Emeralds and their abilities haven’t been addressed yet. Are they gathered somewhere safe? Are there a limited number of them? Before these questions are answered, Blaze is brought in and the existence of other kinds of Emeralds is made known. It just feels a bit too early to bring in a character with so much backstory before the groundwork has been laid in the new series.

This issue isn’t a total waste for writer Ian Flynn. Tangle is a cute character and hopefully there will be more of her in the future. It also looks like things are going to get more intense moving forward but this issue felt like a bit of a misstep.

Sonic the hedgehog

Artwork

The artwork by Evan Stanley helps to sell the introduction of Tangle to the series. The art offers perfect action sequences which emulate how the characters move straight from the video game series. It also helps to convey Tangle as an energetic character who is eager to help others.

The color work by Matt Herms is on point. There seems to be great detail paid to the use of lighting effects to help show the shadows which form from the day turning to night and the flame effects created from Blaze’s fire powers.

The lettering by Corey Breen employs a great mixture of effects to help the action scenes play out. The speech bubbles also offer a great flow of light conversation which is perfect for when Sonic and his friends are joking around.

Conclusion

The new Sonic The Hedgehog series performed impressively with its four-issues-in-one-month launch. Sure this wasn’t the best of the four, but it leaves the audience in a perfect place to really get the story going. This new series seems to be off to a great start and fans of Sonic need to check it out.

Review: ALIENS: DUST TO DUST Returns The Franchise To Pure, Relentless Horror

Monkeys Fighting Robots

Aliens: Dust to Dust from Dark Horse Comics returns the franchise to its horror roots in a terrifying and relentless new four issue mini-series. Aliens

Aliens: Dust to Dust
Written & Drawn by: Gabriel Hardman
Colors by: Rain Beredo
Letters by: Michael Heisler
Published by: Dark Horse Comics

The Trono colony on LV-871 is under attack. Emergency evacuations are ordered. Evac shuttles are taking off. All twelve-year-old Maxon and his mom have to do is make it to the spaceport. Except between them and it are . . . Aliens!Aliens

Writing

One of the great things about what Dark Horse has done with its Aliens comics is it has mostly allowed them to exist as a series of anthology tales told in a shared but not always connected universe. As readers, we get to see the concept in a multitude of ways. In Aliens: Dust to Dust writer/artist Gabriel Hardman right off the bat distills the Alien concept back to its horror roots. He opens with an eerie panel showing a small, frightened child softly saying “Mommy?” This immediately sets the tone for what follows. What we get is a tightly told, well-paced and suspenseful narrative that also has a good enough sense to develop its characters. It’s solid comics storytelling. It also has a great ending that reminds us how much Aliens has always played so well on primal fears and shocking moments. Aliens

Art

Hardman also does the art, with coloring by Rain Beredo. The two artists work in tandem to create a very hand drawn feel to the illustrations. They also use the layouts and panels to create claustrophobia. This adds to the suspense and anxiety of the story. It also has grit, mood, and atmosphere (qualities found in the first two films in the franchise).

There is also a nice bit of lettering done by Michael Heisler, who has some solid use of sparse word placement for sound effects to help create a sort of ‘jump scare’ moment when you turn pages and read across panels.

Aliens

Conclusion

If you are looking for a good Aliens story and the last few movies have left you wanting more of what made the first two films so great, definitely the comics is where to go. And Aliens: Dust to Dust is the perfect choice for just about anyone. It delivers the start of a tense horror story and all you really need is a few basic details about the mythology.

Review: The Battle For The Amazons’ Souls Concludes in WONDER WOMAN #45

Monkeys Fighting Robots

Despite having sweet moments scattered throughout, the conclusion to the latest adventure of Wonder Woman feels rushed.

Darkseid has been seeking a new army to take back his control of Apokolips. He plans to use ancient New God relics to create a portal to Themyscira and enslave the Amazons. As he and his daughter Grail went after the relics, Wonder Woman and ARGUS fought back at every turn. Despite their efforts, Darkseid gathers the relics and opens the portal, sending his daughter through. Once there, Grail uses Apokoliptian technology to change the population into a new form of Parademon. Will Wonder Woman and her brother Jason be able to save their people?

Wonder Woman 45 cover

**Some Spoilers Below**

Story:

As the forces of Apokolips and Argus battle for control of the portal, Jason flies in to help his mother. Using his powers of Zeus and the assistance of Hippolyta, the pair take down the daughter of Darkseid. While this goes on, Diana takes on Darkseid himself while ARGUS fights his Parademon horde.

This issue, as well as the arc, has once again failed to fulfill the epic potential the plot could have. Darkseid could have gained this army and enslaved them to attack Earth back in the second issue of the arc. Imagine the shock and horror Wonder Woman would have gone through if she had to face her own people instead of Parademons. The title of the story arc is “Amazons Attacked”, but there isn’t a full out attack on the Amazons or by them. Instead, the closest we get is a few quick action sequences in this issue that screeches to an end thanks to plot convenience.

wonder woman 45 p1

Despite my dislike, there is a silver lining here. Sprinkled throughout the issue are tender moments that have been building up over the course of the creative run thus far. One example is the meeting between Jason and his mother. One of Jason’s tragic character threads was his sadness of never getting to meet his mother. He hated her for that, but now it has come full circle and has grown from it. It may have been rushed, as most of this issue is, but it’s still a part I enjoyed.

Art:

The artists of this arc have gone above and beyond once again. Emanuela Lupacchino, Ray McCarthy, and Marco Santucci work together illustrating and they do a great job. The two-page spreads in this issue will have readers get lost in such amazing looking battles. There is one part, in particular, I was drawn in for a bit, just to see the masterful teamwork between the team’s pencils and Romulo Fajardo Jr.’s colors. It’s a fantastic looking conclusion to an otherwise bland comic.

Wonder Woman 45 p4

Conclusion:

This finale has great art and some tender moments, but that isn’t enough to justify rushing to the end. There was so much potential for this story to be bigger, but didn’t feel like was fully explored. Maybe we can come back to such a story in a team book like Justice League, but now we’ll move on, left with wanting more.

‘Fast & Furious’ Animated Series Coming To Netflix

Monkeys Fighting Robots

Netflix is working on an animated Fast & Furious series, the streaming giant has announced.

The series will be based on Universal Pictures’ popular film franchise.

The story follows Tony Torreto, the teenage cousin of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). Things get interesting when Tony and his friends are “recruited by  government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization bent on world domination.”

The animated series comes from Netflix’s expanded deal with DreamWorks Animation.

“We are excited to extend and expand our successful relationship with Netflix by not only delivering more high-quality DreamWorks programming, but connecting fans of the Universal films with fascinating new stories,” said Margie Cohn, president of Dreamworks Animation Television.

Tim Hedrick (Voltron) and Bret Haaland (All Hail King Julien) will serve as showrunners. Diesel, Neal Moritz and Chris Morgan will serve as executive producers.

The eight live-action Fast & Furious films have earned $5 billion worldwide. Hobbs and Shaw, a spin-off film staring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, is set to debut next year.

The next two films in the series will hit theaters in 2020 and 2021.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP CinemaCon Trailer Description Released

Monkeys Fighting Robots

With all the hype surrounding the release of Avengers: Infinity War, many have forgotten the other Marvel movie set to release this year, Ant-Man and The Wasp. Today, Marvel Studios debuted a new trailer for the film at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The footage was exclusively for the audience in attendance, meaning it’s unlikely to be released. However, Comicbook.com was on the scene to provide an in-depth description.

The scenes described show that the humor is back for the sequel, including a size contest between Scott Lang and Bill Foster:

“Cassie asks Scott how long he’s been Ant-Man again. He is giant, riding on the back of a truck, riding next to Walton Goggins. He flicks them to the side but seems to mess things up. The Wasp appears in the truck, says, “Hi,” and beats them up. Cassie suggests Scott have a sidekick. Luis talks to Hank, claiming he opened the Quantum-realm to a villain by the name of the Ghost. Now, Pym needs Luis’ group’s help, which is funny because they robbed him. Action sequences cut by, emphasizing the wasp’s abilities. An ant plays the drums. The Wasp and Ant-Man debate their joint fighting tactics. Luis is shrunken with the group in a van and he’s scared they’re going to die. The Wasp is driving, confidently. Scott reveals his record in size was 65 feet, topping Laurence Fishburne’ character’s 21 feet. The Wasp is done hearing them compare sizes.”

Does this footage description get you excited for Ant-Man and The Wasp? Let us know in the comments below!

Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theatres on July 6, 2018

As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

SCOUT COMICS is Making Noise. Are You Listening?

Monkeys Fighting Robots

The flood of successful creator-owned publishing companies is real and you need to be paying attention, especially to the titles that Scout Comics is putting out.

Scout, formerly Ardden Entertainment, is on the path to becoming your new favorite publisher. The label has its hands in not only comics, but is also producing talent for television, film, augmented, digital and even video games. Its current creative teams are stout, especially the art.

“Most of our titles are sellouts and our order numbers have been steadily increasing,” Director of Sales and Marketing James Haick said. “As a creator, I’m so honored to be a part of Scout’s lineup, because no matter what genre you love, we got it all and I know my books are surrounded by quality. The stuff we have, going forward, I can’t wait for readers to see.”

James Pruett, the company’s publisher and whose twin brother, Joe Pruett, is the publisher at Aftershock Comics, currently writes one of the flagship titles called, Mindbender, which includes some amazing art and eye-catching covers via Federico De Luca. The series follows Alex who, at just 7-years-old, awakened a power that left him in a coma for almost 16 years. The power, itself, turns out to be an evolutionary trait that lies dormant in all mankind, which is waiting inside to be unleashed. There are those that would seek to weaponize his awakening, those that would seek to learn how to summon their own respective powers in studying him and Alex is at both ends of the spectrum in possibly being responsible for protecting the world or destroying it.

Some of the company’s other top billings include Solar Flare, a story about Jake, who is navigating a dark world, devoid of electricity and technology, in attempting to get back to his daughter, Infernoct, which features creatures that feed off the sanity of their victims, and Smoke Town, which chapters the finals days of a murdered soldier, each time from a different perspective. Currently though, its most-popular book, tells the story of a supernatural, evil-conquering plush rabbit, called, Stabbity Bunny.

“This book takes place at the intersection of A Nightmare on Elm St. and Sesame Street,” Creator and Writer Richard Rivera said. “It’s basically about a girl and her 100-year-old plush bunny that battles evil. Instead of hunting evil, evil is after them. Everything the characters have learned is purely instinctive. Supernatural forces have been chasing them for generations and now they have finally caught up with them.”

As of now, Rivera and Co. have about 36 issues prepared for Stabbity, which could extend beyond that number, but the team is also planning on releasing a spinoff called, Shadowplay.

“The book will take place in the same world, but primarily in The Shadow Dimension,” said Rivera. “We also have a one-shot coming in September, that isn’t quite ready to be solicited yet, but I think fans of the book will really love it. It is going to be an Elseworld version of the bunny. In this world, the bunny doesn’t speak or move. That is not the case here. So, I think it will give fans something they have been wanting to see. It will be a nice change of pace.”

One upcoming title to be on the lookout for this year, which promises to be one of the company’s runaway hits, is from a German and Italian creative team called, Zinnober. It will paint a picture of the return of dragons. The company is also set to release its first-ever title for Free Comic Book Day this May as well, a Haick offering called, The Mall. The book tells the story of a criminal organization that is actually run out of the mall. The head of the organization dies and his three illegitimate children inherit the business, all while dealing with normal, everyday high school stuff.

“It takes place in everyone’s favorite decade, the 1980s, and is kind of like a mashup of a John Hughes film and Goodfellas,” Haick said. “I co-wrote it with Don Handfield, a television and film writer, who also has a production company with Jeremy Renner.”

Lastly, as if the company wasn’t already incredibly innovative, it will kick off a ‘binge’ initiative with its comics, starting with another Haick book which will tell the realistic, behind-the-scenes story of professional wrestling. The idea is to release a #0 and #1 primers, followed by a full trade, to satisfy readers that like to cram it all in one session.

“It’s the age we live in. It’s how everyone is watching their TV,” Haick proclaimed. “There’s so much more that I would love to reveal, but it’s too soon. We got a lot of great stuff coming and I’m so excited about the future of this company.”

Find out more about the company’s titles via the Scout Comics Presents #1 Primer and make sure you are following it via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Spoiler- Free Review: How AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Breaks The Marvel Mold

Monkeys Fighting Robots

Avengers: Infinity War is upon us, and it’s the biggest, boldest, bravest entry into the MCU canon to date.

Do you really need a plot summary? Thanos, the Mad Titan that’s been teased since the first Avengers movie, is finally here, and all of Marvel’s heroes need to band together and keep him from assembling the six Infinity Stones.

From the opening moments, when the Marvel logo is still rolling on the screen, Infinity War already feels like a departure from the usual MCU fare. There’s an instant sense of doom and gloom, which is enforced by an incredible opening sequence. For the first time in a long time, there’s an actual sense of suspense in a Marvel movie, and it makes for a thrilling experience. Even the staunchest MCU-hater won’t be able to call this one predictable.

HD Images From AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Trailer 2

We get a ton of “holy sh!t” moments as well; this is a flick that demands to be seen on a big screen. It’s fun seeing all of these characters coming together and interacting, many for the first time! Comics fans will especially appreciate everything the filmmakers managed to stuff into Infinity War. With every MCU character involved, there’s a lot going on. It’s packed. It can admittedly be a little overwhelming, and maybe there’s actually too much going on at times. But the plot’s not confusing. The film never feels bogged down or slow. The two hours and forty minutes fly by actually. And once the third act kicks into gear, everything clicks and it’s just an awe-inspiring ride to the finish. No spoilers, but Infinity War has the strongest ending of any Marvel movie yet.

Every character gets a moment to shine – some maybe more than others – but the standout by far is Thor. The Odinson has a lot to do in the story, and he doesn’t waste the screentime. Josh Brolin’s Thanos was well worth the wait too. He’s menacing, but Brolin also brings emotion to the Mad Titan. He steals whatever scene he’s in.

Humor is often a point of contention regarding MCU movies. And, while Infinity War is a dark chapter in the series, it does still bring the funny to a certain degree. It’s not overwhelming or distracting, though. It’s subtle, and it’s often woven very well into the script. The only exception is regarding the Guardians of the Galaxy, especially when they’re first introduced. That particular humor feels forced. It matches the tone of the Guardians films we’ve seen before, but that’s not a match for this movie.

Infinity War has heart. It’s an emotional ride, full of moments that will make you cheer, give you goosebumps, and cause you to well up (for a variety of reasons). Marvel isn’t afraid to take chances. Avengers: Infinity War proves that, and it’s going to be fun to see where the franchise goes from here.

Review: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Is A Dark Dynamic Ride

Monkeys Fighting Robots

Avengers: Infinity War is the perfect blend of emotional resonance, heart-racing action sequences, and a narrative which is both relentless and shocking.

There is nothing about the Russo brothers latest addition to Marvel Cinematic Universe which feels familiar and yet audiences will be transfixed by our heroes (which we have grown attached to) as they face their gravest challenge. How far are these individuals willing to go in order save humanity?

In the interest of keeping the review free of any spoilers, the summary is going to be extremely basic. Avengers: Infinity War picks up right where Thor: Ragnarok left off. Thanos (Josh Brolin) is hell-bent on acquiring all six Infinity Stones to bring balance to the universe by wiping out half of humanity. Can the worlds mightiest heroes stop what appears to be their inevitable doom?

avengers infinity war

What stood out first and foremost was the chemistry exhibited by the biggest cast in Marvel history. Chris Pratt and Robert Downey Jr. are outstanding together and left me wondering why they haven’t done any other projects together. Chris Hemsworth certainly brought the house down during his scenes with the entire Guardians crew. Indeed, it’s lovely to have a narrative which oozes originality, but the whole cast brought Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely’s words to a whole other level.

One of the many moments which will floor audiences is how Markus and McFeely crafted Thanos’s character. Unlike previous Marvel villains who seem driven to commit evil, the Mad Titan feels he’s doing a good deed by cleansing our world in order to preserve our existence. He’s driven by a burning desire to see a balance throughout the cosmos. Thanos considers the Infinity Stones as a way to achieve what appears unattainable. It’s undoubtedly clear after seeing the film why Josh Brolin was cast as Thanos because needed a seasoned actor who would efficiently project his depth.

The performances in Avengers: Infinity War were precisely perfect. Up until now, most Marvel films have rarely given glimpses of the humanity each character possesses. Even during the darkest moments, the Avengers rarely showed fear or indecision. Audiences will witness an incredible amount of uncertainty and loss. What happens when those who protect us have run out of answers? Showing the vulnerability of these characters made those emotional beats sting even harder.

Markus and McFeely’s narrative strikes a haunting tone while still allowing for just enough moments of levity, and just when everything seems safe, the story takes another tragic turn. The Russo brothers keep the pace extremely brisk avoiding any lulls. Cinematographer Trent Opalach does tremendous work capturing the non-stop action sequences and truly shines during the battle of Wakanda. Alan Silvestri’s musical score is able to capture the sheer excitement of this cinematic event while enhancing those emotional beats found throughout the film.

Avengers: Infinity War has set a new standard for superhero films. Depth in a Marvel movie can be achieved even if it comes at great sacrifice.

Brace yourself! I’m not sure anyone is ready for what they’re about to see.

Review: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Is The Ultimate Marvel Movie (And All That Implies)

Monkeys Fighting Robots

It’s been a long road to this point, but six years after Thanos first flashed that infamous purple smirk in the mid-credits scene of The Avengers (and a full decade after Iron Man‘s debut), Avengers: Infinity War is officially upon us.

Billed as the ultimate culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far, the film — from returning MCU directors Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: Civil War) — has the unenviable task of tying together the disparate story arcs and dozens of characters from the preceding 18 Marvel Studios films. And, with several key cast members’ contracts wrapping up with next year’s sequel, Infinity War — inspired by Marvel’s 1991 story The Infinity Gauntlet, written by Jim Starlin and pencilled by George Pérez and Ron Lim —also serves as the first half of a grand finale of sorts for this era of the MCU. So it’s fair to say that this little $300 million production is quite the event.

First, let’s get something out of the way. Moviegoers who have shown little to no interest in the MCU thus far — or who may have found the films overblown, silly or inconsequential — may we kindly direct you to the theater across the hall playing something a little more nuanced (there’s a really solid Wes Anderson film out that you may be interested in). With Infinity War, the plotlines and characters pop up with little regard for your foreknowledge of the established canon. Although the main story is very focused on Thanos’ bid for godlike power, you’re unlikely to have the same visceral, emotional response if you haven’t seen or barely remember most of the other MCU films.

However, for anyone with even a passing interest in the MCU or superhero films in general, Infinity War is one that must not be missed. Picking up precisely where Thor: Ragnarok ended, the adventure kicks off in short order, crosscutting between the various threads of the MCU and allowing them to intersect and diverge at will. For obvious reasons, the less we reveal about specifics, the better the experience will be for audiences. Rest assured, however, that the film does a masterful job of sprinkling in surprise and balancing the countless heroes it features. Much like the big-screen adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, this is exactly the relentless payoff it aspires to be.

Still, Infinity War is not flawless in its execution. Because of its grand scale, some of the film’s characters, particularly Captain America, Black Widow and Black Panther, find their individual arcs sacrificed for the sake of propelling Thanos closer to his ultimate goal. Also, like the first part of that final Harry Potter story, Infinity War certainly doesn’t work as a standalone story and is guaranteed to leave audiences frustratedly Googling when the next Avengers film hits theaters (May 3, 2019, in case you were wondering). This isn’t necessarily a detriment to the film itself, which is by design a cross-over event, but may not bode well for its replay value as a singular cinematic experience (unlike Black Panther, for instance). Time will tell.

Where Infinity War succeeds is in delivering on the novelty of seeing all the MCU heroes finally collide for the first time. Sure, we’ve seen Iron Man and Doctor Strange rock their facial hair in separate films, but witnessing Robert Downey Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch engaged in verbal sparring (the word “douchebag” even comes up, satisfyingly enough) is pure magic. Ditto for Thor and Rocket’s unlikely partnership throughout much of the film’s runtime, and the showdown that sees many of the central MCU figures unite in Wakanda. But perhaps the most impressive feat Infinity War pulls off is in its depiction of Thanos himself.

Josh Brolin assumed the role of the Mad Titan in Guardians of the Galaxy, and his appearance there did little to distinguish him from other bland baddies that have populated the MCU, especially that film’s own Ronan the Accuser. Thankfully, Infinity War recognizes the importance of developing Thanos as a compelling threat and, as has been reported, essentially positions him as its “main character.” The film goes to great lengths to help audiences understand his point of view and even humanize him a bit. Hot on the heels of memorable villains like Ego, Vulture, Hela and Killmonger, Infinity War‘s handling of Thanos (and Brolin’s performance) should rightfully mark the end of the MCU’s most criticized weakness.

Much like nearly all of its predecessors, Infinity War may not be high art, but to be fair, it doesn’t try to be. Film snobs will continue to hate on the franchise as they search for a deeper subtext, while completely missing the point of it all. With Infinity War, Marvel Studios raises the stakes of its filmography to literally universal levels, and sure, perhaps they are deflated a bit by the anything-goes mentality inherited by the comics. Nevertheless, the epic storytelling of the MCU has consistently embodied the sheer joy of going to the movies, with all the imagination, humor and spectacle that entails. On that front, Avengers: Infinity War is a guaranteed crowdpleaser and one of Marvel Studio’s greatest achievements. Let the speculation over the still-untitled Avengers 4 begin now.

We know you have thoughts about Avengers: Infinity War. So why not share them below and keep the conversation going? After all, we have a full year to wait until Earth’s Mightiest Heroes return to the big screen. Sound off below!

SPOILER FREE: Four Quick Thoughts On AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Monkeys Fighting Robots

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters this week, and here are four quick thoughts on the film that will destroy the box office this weekend.

Three Scenes Worthy Of Goosebumps

It is ridiculous that a 41-year-old man goes gaga over a superhero movie, but three scenes are worthy of this emotional reaction. The first time you see Captain America on screen, it is pure power and emotion. The next two would spoil the film, and so the details will be vague. Moment number two will catch you off guard, and the third will have you jumping out of your seat. (Let me know what scenes gave you goosebumps.)

We Finally Get A Complete Comic Book Movie

From the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there have been parts of films that have been off or uninspiring. From the beginning to the end, Avengers: Infinity War feels like a comic book. The action is splash-page worthy, and the flow of the movie feels like an epic crossover. The Russo Bros. outdo themselves juggling all the different plotlines and characters.

The Unexpected Happens

The Disney version of the MCU has been dubbed “cookie cutter.” That can’t be said for Avengers: Infinity War, there are five or six moments in the movie where the Russo Bros. go big instead of playing it safe. The flow of the film kicks you in the teeth with weight and keeps you off balance with its scope.

Post-Credits Scene

There is a post-credits scene all the way at the end of the film, and it is worth the wait. The brief scene is very emotional and gets you excited for the next Avengers movie as another hero is introduced to the MCU.

Those are my four quick thoughts on Avengers: Infinity War. My full review will drop later this week. If you have questions or comments on the film, let me know below.

About the film:
AS THE AVENGERS AND THEIR ALLIES HAVE CONTINUED TO PROTECT THE WORLD FROM THREATS TOO LARGE FOR ANY ONE HERO TO HANDLE, A NEW DANGER HAS EMERGED FROM THE COSMIC SHADOWS: THANOS. A DESPOT OF INTERGALACTIC INFAMY, HIS GOAL IS TO COLLECT ALL SIX INFINITY STONES, ARTIFACTS OF UNIMAGINABLE POWER, AND USE THEM TO INFLICT HIS TWISTED WILL ON ALL OF REALITY. EVERYTHING THE AVENGERS HAVE FOUGHT FOR HAS LED UP TO THIS MOMENT – THE FATE OF EARTH AND EXISTENCE ITSELF HAS NEVER BEEN MORE UNCERTAIN.

Avengers: Infinity War features Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as Thanos.

Avengers: Infinity War destroys theaters on April 27.
