Disney has released an awesome new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales during the Super Bowl.
Much like the first trailer, this Super Bowl spot doesn’t offer any story details for the upcoming Pirates sequel, but at least this time around we get to see Johnny Depp’s infamous Captain Jack Sparrow. The trailer also shows the return of Orlando Bloom’s Will Turner, who we last saw in At World’s End. From the looks of this trailer, the fifth installment of Disney’s Pirate franchise will be the darkest so far. Before the reveal of Sparrow, we are shown various sequences of epic proportions.
Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.
Starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, Geoffrey Rush, and Brenton Thwaites, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales opens May 25, 2017.
