It has been a very long time since a film has given me chills in the same realm as ‘Se7en,’ but Tomas Alfredson’s ‘The Snowman’ can be felt in the bones.
‘The Snowman’ will be a spectical as the film was shot entirely on location in Norway in the cities of Oslo and Bergen and the area of Rjukan.
When an elite crime squad’s lead detective investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter, he fears an elusive serial killer may be active again. With the help of a brilliant recruit, the cop must connect decades-old cold cases to the brutal new one if he hopes to outwit this unthinkable evil before the next snowfall.
‘The Snowman’ stars Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer, and J.K. Simmons. Matthew Carnahan, Søren Sveistrup, Peter Straughan, and Hossein Amini worked on the screenplay.
The film is based on the book by Jo Nesbø, and will hit theaters October 19.

‘It’ hits theaters this week, but the folks at Universal and Sony want you to remember they own your soul as they released the trailer for ‘Insidious: The Last Key’ Tuesday morning.

About the ‘Insidious: The Last Key’ The creative minds behind the hit Insidious trilogy return for Insidious: The Last Key. In the supernatural thriller, which welcomes back franchise standout Lin Shaye as Dr. Elise Rainier, the brilliant parapsychologist faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet: in her own family home.
Shaye is joined in the cast by Angus Sampson, Whannell, Josh Stewart, Caitlin Gerard, Kirk Acevedo, Javier Botet, Bruce Davison, Spencer Locke, Tessa Ferrer, Ava Kolker and Marcus Henderson.
The film is written by co-creator Leigh Whannell, who wrote the trilogy and directed Chapter 3.

Marvel’s Inhumans is the latest TV project to venture into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and boy is it a bland, disjointed mess.
Where to begin?
Meet The Royals
We first meet the Inhuman Royal Family—led by Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and Medusa (Serinda Swan)—in Attilan, a city hidden on Earth’s moon. Rounding out the inner circle are Black Bolt’s scheming brother Maximus (Iwan Rheon), Medusa’s sister Crystal (Isabelle Cornish) and cousins Karnak (Ken Leung) and Gorgon (Eme Ikwuakor).
This society of genetically-modified superhumans has lived peacefully in the isolated oasis. However, a rebellion is brimming beneath the surface.
The emergence of Inhumans on Earth—a storyline introduced on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.—has created a rift amongst the royals. Black Bolt sends Triton (Mike Moh) on a mission to find the new Inhumans and bring them back to Attilan. Maximus thinks they should make Earth their new home. Oh, and he also wants to be king.
As a result, Maximus leads a military coup, sending members of the royal family scattered across the islands of Hawaii.
From Bad To Worse
The premise, though convoluted, isn’t the show’s biggest problem.
It’s the cheap-looking production design—think ’90s sci-fi TV.
It’s the wooden dialogue coupled with lackluster performances. Rheon is probably the strongest of the bunch, however, Maximus feels like a watered-down version of his Game of Thrones character.
It’s the disjointed storytelling. At times, it’s glaringly obvious that separate TV episodes were edited together. Some scenes fade to black, where a commercial would likely be, before moving to the next.
Black Bolt and the others have unique powers: his sonic voice is deadly, while Medusa has super-strong hair. And while Gorgon’s powerful hooves come in handy more than once, it’s not particularly exciting when the characters use their powers.
The action scenes suffer from cringe-worthy choreography.
Not helping matters is the look of Attilan. The city features blocky, cement-colored buildings that were constructed in a computer.
It’s all so bland.
Scott Buck, who serves as showrunner, previously worked on Netflix’s Iron Fist if that tells you anything.
Why IMAX?
Inhumans was originally slated to be part of MCU’s movie lineup. The focus shifted, somewhere along the way, and it was developed for TV instead.
Regardless, Marvel and ABC decided to give the series the “movie” treatment, sort of. The first two episodes were edited together and released in IMAX. While it’s a bold move, the IMAX release doesn’t do Inhumans any favors. In fact, the big screen presentation only magnifies the show’s flaws, bad CGI and all. One bright spot is Lockjaw, a giant teleporting dog. Too bad he also suffers from bad CGI.
Inhumans premieres on ABC on Friday, September 29.
It’s a new era for the X-Men! And Marvel’s trade release game is on point. The same day the final crossover trade for IvX came out, three “ResurrXIon” trades were published. It’s pretty ingenious. There was no waiting to read more, so those excited by reading X-Men Prime in All-New X-Men Inevitable Vol 4: IvX could go right back to the Kindle or Comixology store and read more. The downside is that it looks like the next few trades to hit won’t come until October. How dare Marvel make us wait slightly more than a month to read more!
But the first three trades are here. And they’re all team books. Starting with:
X-Men Gold Vol 1: Back to Basics

After Inhumans Vs X-Men, the X-Men felt rudderless. They didn’t know where to go from their last crisis, and Storm didn’t even know if she wanted to remain an X-Man. Then came Kitty Pryde, and she put the team back on track. Now, in the new flagship title X-Men Gold, we get to see what kind of leader Kitty will be to the X-Men. In just one trade (and two stories), she’s already proving that she’ll be one of the best team leaders they’ve ever had.
Her time with the Guardians of the Galaxy seems to have had an impact on Kitty. She’s more decisive than she’s been in the past, and certainly a lot more confident than she’s ever been. She’s still young, and she still has some of the same quirks of her youth. But she isn’t the “quarter-life crisis” Kitty, we saw in Bendis’s All-New X-Men (which isn’t a slight, it can be a significant development), she isn’t the confused, kind of angsty young woman in Joss Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men (again, not a complaint. All character development). And of course, she’s no longer the scared teen from the Claremont era. She’s a strong woman, and it’s great to watch her lead.
Most of the development, rightfully, goes to Kitty. But Rachel Grey also gets a lot of development. It’s odd because the growth of the character is intentionally forced by Kitty. She makes Rachel take a new name and costume that isn’t tied to her past. She’s not trying to dress like her mom anymore. She’s Prestige now. And it’s about time she did. It looks like we’ll see a lot of changes in Prestige—her arc has just begun.
Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Old Man Logan make up the rest of the team, and Guggenheim smartly lets these four be anchors to their old selves. There is slight development to each, but focusing on Kitty and Rachel gave the trade a lot more cohesion.
Then there’s the art. We won’t get into the controversy that erupted from the 1st issues. It was unfortunate. Syaf is a real artist, and the first three issues looked fantastic, but what happened had to happen. We’ll leave it at that. R.B. Silva took up art duties, and he’s just as good. His nano-sentinel and superhero cameos in the second arc of the book were fantastic.
As the launch for the new era of X-Men, it’s strong. And as the title suggests, there is a Back to Basics idea going on here. They’re heroes again, but we also have a politician plotting against them. The team feels like a classic X-Men team, and they’re able to be heroes again instead of just surviving, which they had been doing since House of M 12 years ago. And they’re fighting sentinels again, which is always fun.
Since Beast pulled the original X-Men out of the past and into the present, the team’s been driven in different directions quite often. Beast’s original goal was for them to see how far Cyclops has strayed from Xavier’s dream But since then, they’ve been pulled in different directions and hardly spent time as a full team. Angel went with older Cyclops for a bit. Cyclops then went to space to hang out with his dad. Jean went with Storm to X-Haven. But now they’re all a team again, with Jean as the leader (as Hank says, finally!) and their mentor and benefactor? Magneto.
For readers, Magneto has been a hero a lot longer than he’s been a villain. He’s been on the X-Men’s side in one way or another for nearly the last 15 years or so, at least. So, it’s not a big surprise for us that he wants to find a new way to help mutants and honor his old friend. But Bunn makes something clear—the Original Five (Wait…no, let’s call them X-Men 5-O!) fought him like a week before Old Beast pulled them out of their timeline. For them, it’s still crazy that Magneto is fighting with the X-Men. And though Magneto allows Jean to read his mind, they’re still having a hell of a hard time believing it.
Bunn makes a few wise choices here. He focuses on classic villains. They fight one of the oldest and most famous villains in the first issue—Juggernaut. And Bunn better bring him back because he was the highlight of the book, but only in the first issue. He also needs to explain the Bane-like tubes on his costume. What was that? They also fight some sentinels, always a hit.
The one problem with the writing was that the villains just kept running away. Iceman even jokes about it, but it was kind of annoying.
Another aspect of the book that worked well, for the issues he was involved in, was Jorge Molina’s art. It’s not just that he did a good job making the X5-O look like teens, but he made them look youthful in their presentation, not just looks. The art had a young vibe to it, and it was needed for the characters. The other artists did an okay job getting Molina’s flavor, but it’d be good to see him return.

Weapon X Vol 1: Weapons of Mutant Destruction Prelude
Collecting Weapon X 1-4 and The Totally Awesome Hulk 19

This is a very plot-driven book. It’s not that the character development is inadequate or nonexistent, it’s that the characters don’t have time to develop because they’re always being attacked by crazy Weapon X cyborgs. It’s intense. The cyborgs don’t just have the “we can look like anyone” trait; they can be almost anything. There are cyborg birds. Warpath is even attacked by Cyborg horses! Horses! Not even space is safe since that’s where they went after Hulk.
The book is fun, but Pak might have jumped into a crossover event a little too quickly. There was no time for the team to even form before jumping into Weapons of Mutant Destruction. In fact, it starts crossing over before the team comes together. Unless Hulk becomes part of the team, they needed an adventure before this one to build as a team. And since the next trade will be WMD, it might be a while before we see how the five deadliest mutants in the world operate as a team.
The other issue is Greg Land’s art. It’s become a cliché to complain about his art, but there are problems here. All of his women still have the same exact face. It’s annoying. His characters just don’t look impressive. Some of the cyborgs are cool looking, but still just boring. There were cyborg horses. They should have looked crazy and freaky. They just look kind of dull. Too bad they couldn’t get Clayton Crain or Esad Ribic on the book.
Overall: ★★★½
Final thoughts:
It’s an exciting time to be an X-Men fan. These three books were an awesome start for the new era of X-Men, and it feels like Marvel is taking their mutants a little more seriously again. And with the impressive new line up, there’s certainly no shortage of X-books anymore.
Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see. One chance out between two worlds … well, you know the rest. Twin Peaks ends as it began, with mysteries and secrets. And just as before, it leaves us with a final haunting image with no promise that it will ever be resolved. But maybe that is how it should be.
The Case
Bad Cooper finally made his way to the coordinates. It appeared to be the same vortex as the one near Jack Rabbit’s Palace, but the denizens of the place that may or may not be the White Lodge quickly moved Bad Coop to the Twin Peaks sheriff’s station. His appearance made Naido freak out and inspired dumb Chad to escape. It didn’t go so good for the latter as Freddy used his power fist to open his jail cell and knock Chad out.
Upstairs, Frank greeted Bad Coop with some of the kindness Harry might have, but was quickly alerted by Cooper not to trust him. It was almost lights out for Frank except Lucy had the drop on Bad Coop and shot him. Hooray for Lucy!
When Coop finally arrived, all assembled — Frank, Bobby, Andy, Lucy, and the Mitchums — saw the Woodsmen release BOB from Bad Coop. He attacked Cooper, but was soon fighting for his existence against Freddy and his power fist. After a number of punches, BOB disintegrated and disappeared into the ceiling.
Coop sent his doppelgänger back to the Black Lodge, where he will burn for all eternity. He also took a look at Naido and revealed her as the real Diane Evans.
The Updates
There will be no more updates. Instead, let’s discuss where Cooper went once he remembered being a dreamer within a dream. As part of the plan that he, Major Briggs and Gordon cooked up, his Great Northern room key ended up in Sheriff Truman’s possession.
Now, this is where the trail gets strange.
Coop dreamed his way to the power station James and Freddy were guarding. He also dreamed Gordon and Diane there with him. Upon opening the lock, he left them behind to enter what I can only call that One Chance Out Between Two Worlds. Mike was there to escort him to Phillip Jeffries motel room where Jeffries was able to determine Judy’s location in time: February 23rd, 1989.
And before we go any further, it’s important to point out that both Mike and Jeffries spoke with normal voices. Take from that what you will.
Coop traveled back to 1989 where Laura Palmer spots him immediately. Or, at least, she spotted something as her scream interrupted her attempt to break up with James. She also helpfully reminded us of the time Bobby killed a man. Coop watched a little more of her last night before plucking her out of time and seemingly preventing the murder.
Oh, there is one thing to update: they found Jerry in Wyoming; naked and ranting about his binoculars killing someone.
Judy
At long last, we know about Judy. She — or it — is the Ju Dae (at least, that’s how I’m spelling it. But written as “jiao dai” yields an interesting punchline). A malevolent force in the Chance Out Between Two Worlds. She is likely Mom. She’s fond of her creamed corn, but her real aim is incomprehensible to us. She is also tied to the events around Laura’s murder.
To be honest, it’s more than I ever expected to know about Judy. It may even be more than I ever wanted to know about Judy. And thus, I’ll never talk about Judy again. Like Twin Peaks itself, we’re going to leave her out of this.
As soon as Judy almost seemed within reach, Cooper was transported to an alternate Twin Peaks. Pete never found the body. Cooper never came to town. But he nonetheless emerged from the Black Lodge to see Diane waiting for him. Or maybe she was Linda. Traveling to the spot the Fireman indicated to him back in Part 1, they jumped tracks to another reality where Linda and Coop (or Richard) were traveling to Odessa, Texas to have sex.
Linda (or Diane) left the motel room in the wee hours, but Coop found breakfast at Judy’s Restaurant (last time I’ll talk about her, I swear). He also learned the home address of a second waitress who works there: one Karen Page — sorry, Carrie Page. After handing some local cowboys their asses, he found Carrie at home. Her life is just as bad as Laura’s; which makes sense as she looks almost exactly like her.
Returning to Twin Peaks, Coop discovers there was no Sarah Palmer. An Alice Tremond lives there and she bought the house from a Mrs. Chalfont. And if you don’t remember those names, the last moments of Twin Peaks will baffle you.
The Final Questions
Is Cooper still inside the dream? All of this looks so familiar. Waitresses with assumed identities, lost highways and people escaping their guilt by passing into other lives. Is he living out every dream David Lynch ever had?
Is Cooper in another reality? Though he is still an agent, is he Richard in this world where Laura never died?
What year is this? His car looked pretty modern, but it is so hard to tell sometimes.
Was Cooper always in love with Diane? It seemed so out of place, especially when you consider Cooper’s seemingly sincere love for Annie Blackburn. And since his notion of love is strangely innocent, their kiss in the station seemed odd.
Was Diane always in love with Cooper? I suppose there is more evidence for this, but her sudden affection for him also seemed out of place.
Will Janey-E love her new Dougie?
Where is Audrey? You knew this one was coming. The complete lack of resolution there was stunning.
How’s Annie?
The Curtain Call
I cannot decide if a more definitive ending would’ve been more of a mindwhomp than what David Lynch and Mark Frost gave us tonight. Nearly everything raised by the season two finale of Twin Peaks, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and the earlier parts of this current series were answered. Coop’s doppelgänger was defeated after twenty-five years. Jeffries saw the real Coop again and BOB lived his last.
But we are left with a completely new mystery. Cooper may be in another reality, or he may have discovered that the power of dreams will be the only way to save Laura Palmer. Then again, we’re left with him trapped in a nightmare courtesy of Mrs. Tremond and Mrs. Chalfont — women we know to be one and the same. I wonder if Mrs. Chalfont’s first name was Judy.
No, seriously. I’m not going to talk about Judy ever again.
Instead, I’m left to believe that the show will happen again. Twin Peaks still has life in it. It also has more garmonbozia to delight us with. And even as the current series encompassed every strange idea Lynch has wanted to realize since Inland Empire, it’s revealed how much people still want to see these characters. It even revealed how much Lynch and Frost know we want to see them. We will see them again.
But then, I can’t help but think of that conversation between Major Briggs and Douglas Milford in The Secret History of Twin Peaks. Mysteries live and breathe because they are mysterious. They have a spirit and magic that mere secrets can never obtain. Secrets can be learned and possessed. True mysteries are never truly tangible.
Maybe that’s why we come back again and again to Twin Peaks. Maybe that was the real return.
The ‘Inhumans’ hit IMAX this weekend earned an estimated $2.6 million worldwide, but the reviews are not pretty.
“At best, Inhumans resembles a mediocre ’90s syndicated genre series, and blowing it up to IMAX size just puts a bigger spotlight on the flaws,” said Josh Bell of ‘Las Vegas Weekly.
From the start, the show never looked promising but let’s look at the bigger issue. When Disney bought Marvel the landscape drastically changed for the heroes we know and love. Instead of Disney trying to buy back the rights of characters, Marvel sold off over the years; the media giant decided to play with the toys it bought. Disney’s decision would have a huge impact for the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and push to prominence the Inhumans.
Before Disney bought Marvel, the Inhumans were B-list characters that couldn’t carry a series. Now, these unpopular heroes are forced down the publics’ throat, and the public isn’t taking it too well, or simply they aren’t buying it. Since FOX has the rights to the word mutant, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has one purpose, to promote the Inhumans. Guess what? It’s not working; the worst part is the series is wasting the talents of a great character introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Agent Phil Coulson played by Clark Gregg. ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ premiered to 12.12 million viewers, the finale for season four reached 2.08 million people. There is no reason for the show to get renewed, but it did. The loss of 10 million viewers should have cost more than a few people their job.
Now, this fall there is an eight episode series for the Inhumans that looks cheap next to the MCU films. The competition on the television front is much tougher as well. ABC’s production of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ and now the ‘Inhumans’ can not compare to that of Marvel’s shows on Netflix and or FOX’s ‘Legion.’ The mention of a mutant leads to the next topic, the X-Men. Just imagine how amazing the MCU would be if all its heroes and villains were under one roof. Top tier talent on the biggest shows, instead of going down the list of heroes that are available. Sometimes competition builds a better industry, but in this case, it has created a watered down product. ‘Gifted’ looks to have the same quality issue as well; C-list mutants with a bad production team.
The Inhuman problem has negatively impacted Marvel Comics too. The Fantastic Four are no more, Wolverine was killed off, and the X-Men were at bare bones for too long. Luckily, fan support for the X-Men was too big for Marvel to put the characters on the back burner. Still, there are way too many Inhuman books published for the demand. As mentioned above, the same thing has happened with comics, a watered down product. Stop pushing the Inhumans and put top tier talent with top tier characters.
The Answer
The answer is simple, Disney needs to buy the X-Men franchise from FOX, and produce A-list films and TV shows. Then sprinkle a few B and C-list characters in to excite the fan base. Over the past 17 years, FOX has made just under $5 billion at the box office with the X-Men. Disney bought Marvel for $4 billion back 2009, the asking price for all the characters that FOX owns should be around $6 billion. No one turns down $6 billion, especially on a franchise that has had a less than average track record with quality movies. So far, the MCU has made $12.5 billion at the box office in nine years. Disney has the capital. At this moment we are at the peak of the comic book film market, but there is still enough quality material to keep the public satisfied for the next 15 years. That will be more than enough time for Disney to turn the $6 billion debt into a $6 billion profit.
The longer Disney waits to buy the X-Men from FOX, the quicker the superhero film genre will die a watered down death.
Disney most recently bought Lucasfilm for $4 billion in 2012. With the release of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and ‘Rogue One’ the franchise has earned $3 billion in box office revenue. With the release of ‘Last Jedi,’ the mouse will turn a profit. Disney knows how to print money, the X-Men may not be on the same level as Star Wars, but they can still turn a profit.

While attending Fan Expo Toronto, Doctor Who actor Matt Smith expressed interest in joining the Marvel cinematic universe.
“I’d love to [join the MCU]”
Although he wants in on the Marvel cash cow, Smith did note that the project would have to make sense.
“They’ve got ask me though, the swines. But it would have to be the right project.It would have to be something that felt different enough to Doctor Who. I love so many of those movies and I love Nebula, because Karen’s blue. With no hair. Anyway, I’d love to… If you’re listening, Marvel.”
Given the MCU’s recent cosmic expansion, with films like Avengers: Infinity War and Thor: Ragnarok, there’s definitely a place for Smith somewhere in the universe.

– Fans know and love UNHhhh, the YouTube show starring Katya and Trixie Mattel, but they are in for a treat when Bob The Drag Queen steps in for Katya! In a show that is “whatever we want,” these two will surely put on quite the spectacle. Bob The Drag Queen being a New Yorker makes for the perfect treat to the hometown crowd as well.
4. The Boulet Brothers’ DRAGULA Season 2
– The Boulet Brothers plan to unleash their spooky second season of Dragula. This ghoulish duo took the Internet by storm with their alternative version of Drag Race; it even ranked on IMDB’s “Best of the Year” list. Season 1 winner Vander Von Odd joins Meatball as the moderators, and hope to spill all the bloody details about Season 2.
5. Bust The Internet: Social Media Creators
– Don’t just break the Internet, bust it up! Creating content through social media isn’t easy so that this panel will give tips and tricks to the trade. Highlights of this group include Internet superstar TS Madison and Daniel Franzese of ‘Looking‘ & ‘Mean Girls‘ fame. If you love social media, do not miss this fantastic event!
6. Pushing Buttons: Gay Gamers Panel
– What better way to play video games than in drag? Okay, maybe there is a more comfortable way, but there is no fiercer way! This panel includes comedian Kid Fury and three RuPaul’s Drag Race alum: Jade Sotomayor, Jade Jolie, and Pandora Boxx. Maybe one of the queens will do a “Let’s Play” during the panel.

– As Monkeys Fighting Robots is a site with a major focus on comics, this panel is perfect for our readers. Jiggly Caliente and Sonique are both Drag Race alum, so that brings a unique touch to this nerd-perfect event. This group also includes Marvel writer Gabby Rivera and writer/artist Phil Jimenez.
8. Drag Does Fashion Week: A Fashion Affair
– For fans of fashion and drag, nothing will top this panel. The very fact that fashion legends like Issac Mizrahi and Mickey Boardman will be attending sells this alone. Can’t forget the various Drag Race album and the beautiful model Edward Bess. There are tons of fashion runways at DragCon but expect to see some of these queens strut.
9. On Brand Beauty: Beauty Bloggers Tell All
– Some of the biggest beauty gurus on YouTube are taking over DragCon! Jeffree Star, Laura Lee, and Manny MUA will be dishing all the dirt on YouTube and the beauty community. 10. Judgy Judies: Behind the Judge’s Bench
– Some of the most notable judges in Drag Race her-story are coming together to dish their favorite moments and spill some tea. Michelle Visage will attempt to moderate this madness, but even she will have too much fun to keep this on track. Awesome to see another YouTuber like Todrick Hall find a place on such a major panel.

With Justice League only a couple months out, I’ve decided to take a look at the DCEU’s first four films and rank them. So far, Warner Bros. has given fans a superb Superman epic by Zack Snyder, a war-themed sci-fi tale in Wonder Woman, and two divisive, controversial movies in Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Without further ado, here’s how I’d rank the DCEU films.
1. Man of Steel
Man of Steel, without a doubt, is one of the greatest comic book adaptations to ever grace the big screen. I’m in the minority on this, however, it doesn’t inhibit my admiration for this flick. Zack Snyder created an epic origin story filled with a plethora of impactful character moments and gritty action, all set to amazing music worked on by the legendary Hanz Zimmer.
2. Wonder Woman
A war-set action blockbuster, Wonder Woman is a film created for fans of the character. Delivering on many traits of Diana Prince, the movie lets Gal Gadot shine as the decades-old hero. We’ve finally gotten a Wonder Woman movie, and fortunately, it’s one of the better action flicks of the past few years.
3. Suicide Squad
The first two films I talked about were great. Unfortunately, this is where the trend starts to dip. Suicide Squad isn’t terrible, but it’s nowhere near the level of something like Wonder Woman or Man of Steel. I like many of the characters, especially the dynamic between Harley Quinn and Joker – both actors did a marvelous job in their roles. Suicide Squad is seemingly a product of too many voices. There are two strikingly different tones prevalent in the film, which in turn ends up leaving the audience with a sour taste in their mouth.
4. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Oh, the infamous Batman v Superman, the internet just can’t get over you. While the movie did have some positives, like the introduction of Gadot as Diana Prince and the score by Junkie XL/Hanz Zimmer, the overall impression it left me was unsatisfied. Zack Snyder attempted to balance two completely different storylines, and it failed miserable. The feud between Batman and Superman was rushed, despite the runtime clocking it at a beefy 2 hours and 30 minutes. Ben Affleck portrayed the Bruce Wayne character as a mentally weak brute, and that’s fundamentally against the true interpretation of Batman. I tried so hard to love Batman v Superman, but ultimately I just can’t get over its negatives.

Star Wars Celebration 2017 seems like ancient history, but that is where we got a chance to watch the first episode from the final season of ‘Star Wars Rebels.’ Now, the day after Force Friday, Lucasfilm released the first trailer to Season Four.
All paths come together.
Executive producer Dave Filoni explained the Empire will have a new look as Admiral Thrawn tries to build a mightier fighting force.
“Thrawn sees value in building better fighter craft, especially to fight the more equipped Rebel ships like X-wings. Not everybody shares that point of view, though. As in all things, there’s competition for funding and power. We’ll see a little of that politicking in the Empire,” said Filoni to EW.
It was announced at Star Wars Celebration but you get a good look at Thrawn’s assassin – Rukh, voiced by Warwick Davis.
‘Star Wars Rebels’ returns to Disney XD on Monday, October 16.
