While promoting her upcoming film Passengers, Mystique actress Jennifer Lawrence talked about wanting to play the character in Guardians of the Galaxy.
“Oh my god, I would love to. I would choose that over doing another X-Men movie maybe. I won’t be Mystique in the X-Men movies, but I would love to be Mystique in the Guardians of the Galaxy. I wonder if that can happen.”
Lawrence has been very vocal about not wanting a return to the X-Men franchise. She talked about not wanting a part after Days of Future Past, but still had major role in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Would you want to see Lawrence play Mystique in a future GotG film? It would mean that the X-Men/MCU would be a united universe, which many fans would approve of.
The next installment in the GotG franchise, Vol. 2, hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
