‘Wreck-It Ralph 2′ Breaks Into Theaters In 2018

He’s gonna wreck it! The sequel to film Wreck-It Ralph has been announced. It will break its way into theaters on March 9th, 2018. No word on who in the cast will be returning but a promotional image shows Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz. The press release for the film mentions the pair will have a new area to explore: The Internet. The original director Rich Moore and original screenwriter Phil Johnston will not only be returning but the pair will also be sharing the director role this time around.

The first film starred John C. Reilly as the title character Wreck-It Ralph, a video game villain who was sick of being evil. In an effort to show he was more than a big dumb brute he traveled across multiple games to prove himself with the hero of his own game, Fix It Felix Jr. (voiced by Jack McBrayer) chasing after him. The game was loved by gamers and fans of animation alike and currently sits at RottenTomatoes with an 87% rating. Many have been looking forward to more adventures of Ralph, Felix, and the entire cast of from this lovable animated comedy for a while.

The original film also featured guest appearances by many video game characters such as Zangiff and M. Bison from Street Fighter, Sonic from Sonic The Hedgehog, and Pac-Man from Pac-Man. No doubt this new film will have just as many cameos in it. Which video game characters are you hoping will pop up in the sequel?
