Tom Holland Talks ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity Wars’

Tom Holland Opens Up About His Feelings On The Spider-Man Suit & The MCU!

Spider-Man: Homecoming may be a little less than a year away, but that hasn’t stopped the newest Spidey, Tom Holland, from offering a few nuggets of information about it, the suit, and future Avengers movie appearances, according to Variety.

At the New York Film Festival premiere of Holland’s movie The Lost City of Z, Variety asked him about the possibility of an appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity Wars.

Holland’s response:  “It’s all up in the air. I believe some sort of deal is in the mix, but I’m unclear as to what that deal is.”

Holland also talked about the Spidey costume and the thrill of playing such an iconic character:

“The suit’s not the greatest thing, but sometimes when it’s uncomfortable, you just have to remind yourself of the long list of actors that would love to be in that suit and you just go, ‘do you know what, f**k it. I’m the luckiest kid alive. I deserve to be here and I’m going to give it my best.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming is the second movie reboot of Spider-Man, but his first solo outing as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Holland made his first appearance as the wall-crawler in Captain America: Civil War.

The plot of Homecoming is being kept under tight wraps, but one thing known is that it places Holland’s Peter Parker back in high school. Rumors swirl that the movie will feature several villains (one possibly being The Vulture), but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Besides Holland, the Homecoming cast includes Marisa Tomei, Angourie Rice, Zendaya, Robert Downey, Jr., and Michael Keaton.  Jon Watts will direct from a screenplay written by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daly.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to hit theaters July 7, 2017.
