Captain America: Civil War will introduce the most popular character in Marvel Comics history with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. The studio has previously announced this Peter Parker / Spider-Man will not go through another origin story. According to sources at Heroic Hollywood, the latest rumor is that Peter Parker has been active as Spider-Man for a little over a year during the events of Captain America: Civil War and by the time the standalone Spider-Man film comes out in 2017, Peter would have been Spider-Man for two years.
