Petition Started For An X-Rated Version Of ‘Deadpool’

Last week Grace Randolph a Youtube star, and former writer for Marvel Comics, Boom!, and Newsarama launched a petition to urge 20th Century FOX to released a PG-13 version of Deadpool so an eight-year-old can see the film with his mom.

Personal note: My mom barely let me watch PG movies when I was eight.

The petition has 3,276 signatures at the time this article was published.

Today, in the true Deadpool spirit another petition was launched for the Obama administration to support the release an X-Rated version of the film to set a worldwide example of free speech since Deadpool has been blocked in China.

The new petition was filed at petitions.whitehouse.gov under civil rights and liberties.

“I pay my bills. I go to work. I have health insurance for my entire household. The family volunteers and we believe in STEM education. I’d like to be able to support the local economy by hiring a babysitter so I can go watch a completely vulgar and violent x-rated edition of Deadpool. Tell FLOTUS I will eat raw carrots, celery, and broccoli, while drinking water at the showing. I’ll even only purchase weapons that are registered if I ever felt the need to buy one. Please make America great again.” – states the petition.

What version of the film do you want to see?

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool is set to be released on February 12.
