Comicbook.com got an interview with Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman, at WonderCon. She talked about Ares being the villain, references to Batman v Superman, and similiarities between this film and Thor.
On references to BvS:
“There are things here and there but it’s a standalone film. It should succeed to people who have seen Batman v Superman or not seen anything.”
Jenkins then made it clear that Wonder Woman is a comedic adventure movie.
“I think there’s funny things in both of those films but we definitely went for making a funny film. I was always basing it on Superman 1 and on Indiana Jones. I wanted to make a classic film where you’re laughing and you’re in love with them and then they’re off on a great adventure. It’s definitely in the pursuit of our film.”
Why did she choose Ares?
“He’s the biggest villain of Wonder Woman’s world, and so I think if you’re going to start off big, start off right with the greatest villain.”
“It was a great delight to place him in the world in a way where he believes in exactly what a real true Ares does. And what kind havoc would Ares wreak on this planet and how? There’s some pretty good jobs to put them in for that.”
Lastly, Jenkins talked about how her work on Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World influenced this film.
“It’s a lot of the same questions and a lot of the same struggles that I was interested in Thor’s story are here, although in that case it was the second movie so it could never have been as pure and as simple of an arc so I really think it was meant to be that I ended up doing this one, which I had always wanted to do anyway. And I got to do it in a kind of bigger and purer arc rather than putting it in that other story.”
“Wonder Woman hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.”
Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as the title character, Chris Pine, Robin Wright as Antiope, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Connie Nielsen, Ewen Bremner, and Lucy Davis.
In a recent interview with MTV, Joe Manganiello, who’s (probably) playing Deathstroke in Matt Reeves’ Batman film, revealed that he was once in the running to play Superman in Man of Steel.
“I met with Zack [Snyder]. I had an hour and a half long meeting with Zack, which is what was causing all the trouble. … I went ahead and met with casting, and then they all brought me over to meet Zack. I met the producers, I met with Jon Jashni and Thomas Tull at Legendary, I met everybody – everybody involved – and then finally sat down with Zack for an hour and a half and had a big conversation about the character and where it was going, et cetera. Then they called the True Blood costume shop for my measurements to build my suit and that’s what caused – that’s when it stopped.”
Manganiello wasn’t able to take the role due to contractual obligations with HBO for True Blood.
Man of Steel is undoubtedly a controversial movie. Although I believe it’s a masterpiece, the majority of the internet disagrees with me. Take yourself back to 2013 – would Manganiello playing the role of Clark Kent made any difference in your opinion on the movie? Comment below, let us know.
Just a few weeks ago, Sir Patrick Stewart began posting videos and photos to his Instagram account of a beautiful pitbull named Ginger, who he had decided to foster in his Los Angeles home. Now, less than a month later, Stewart has decided to permanently add Ginger to his family, and has begun charity work with the ASPCA and Wags and Walks, the two organizations he worked with to foster and adopt Ginger.
Stewart’s new addition is unsurprising–it was clear from their first meeting there was serious puppy love between the two. His “foster fail” (what you call a pet that is initially fostered, but ends up getting adopted by its foster family permanently) inspired him to get involved in animal rights–encouraging other celebs to adopt pitties and speaking out against dog fighting.
The X-Men and Star Trek alum is certainly not blazing a trail for celebrities using their platform to speak up for animal rights. In fact, he has joined an army of famous animal lovers by welcoming Ginger into his home. Here are some other familiar faces and their furry counterparts. Now the only question left is “who rescued who?”
Kaley Cuoco is a huge advocate for animal rights. Her home hosts a near constant rotation of foster/ foster fail/ furrever home pups. Her pitbull Norman frequents her Instagram account, but you can see her other fosters and furrever friends there, too!
2. Henry Cavill
This heartthrob has a soft spot in the shape of his dog, Kal-el. Kal is no slouch–he works as Cavill’s emotional support animal, which likely pays in milk bones. Kal may not be a rescue, but animals and the environment are a cause close to Cavill’s heart. He heads up “Cavill Conservation“, a movement that works with The Durell Wildlife Park to research and restore endangered species to their natural habitats.
3. Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn and her husband Aaron Rodgers are now on their second adopted pup, pictured above. Frankie and his brother Chance each have their own Instagram accounts, with tens of thousands of followers apiece. For her part, Munn makes it very clear that both pups were adopted rather than bought in a store. In the past, she has also spoken on behalf of PETA and took part in more than one of their ad campaigns.
4. Ice-T and Coco
The rapper/TV star Ice-T and is wife Coco are active supporters of animal rights groups big and small. Last fall, they lost their first bulldog Spartacus during surgery on his knee. Both Spartacus and his brother Maximus feature heavily in the couple’s lives, even joining them on red carpet events and playing with their daughter Chanel. You can see pictures of both pups (and Chanel!) on their joint Instagram account.
5. Kristen Bell
In one of her most recent posts on Instagram, Kristen Bell introduced the world to her new foster pup, Muppet. The jury is still out on whether or not Muppet will permanently join the Bell/Shepard household, the verdict is in on Kristen’s long-time animal advocacy: it’s not going anywhere. Bell has worked for better animal treatment, less animal testing, and adoption over shopping ever since she was the marshmallow-y Veronica Mars. Thirteen years and one sloth-related meltdown later, and she’s just as adamant about advocacy as she ever was before.
It finally happened. After announcing whatmighthavebeenevery other recurring character in the show, Star Trek: Discovery‘s lead character and the actor who will portray her(?) was officially named three days ago. Is it a coincidence that Sonequa Martin-Green, famous for playing Sasha on AMC’s The Walking Dead, was confirmed only a few days after the season finale of that show? I don’t know … I guess you’ll have to watch it.
“Wait, wasn’t I technically the 1st transgender lead?”
But why did I insert a question mark after “her” in that last paragraph? Well, Martin-Green’s character’s name will apparently be First Officer “Michael Burnham.” The name “Michael,” as this author well knows, is generally a man’s name. This has led to some Trek fans to postulate that Martin-Green will be playing Star Trek’s first transgender lead character.
Star Trek: Discovery – Sonequa Martin-Green, X or Y?
Although it would be interesting to see a transgender character on Star Trek, the idea that a non-transgender actor would (yet again) play a transgender character makes me uneasy. I know that it’s typical of Hollywood to cast actors unrepresentative of the demographic they’re portraying in TV and movies — Tilda Swinton, and Jared Leto immediately spring to mind — but that doesn’t make these kinds of casting decisions right.
I hope that Michael Burnham, although maybe tough as nails, is a woman. That way I can pretend she’s some version of Majel Barrett‘s character Number One from the pilot episode of Star Trek, “The Cage.” But enough about what startrek.com has called the “worst-kept secret in the universe,” let’s talk about the news that our very own Michael Fromm covered previously, Rainn Wilson’s upcoming role on Discovery as “Haaarrcourt!” Fenton Mudd.
Star Trek: Discovery – Rainn Wilson Inherits a Legacy
Trek fans who only watched Star Treks The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise won’t know Harry Mudd, but thorough Trekkies will remember Mudd as the intergalactic hustler that Captain Kirk outfoxed more than once. In fact, both for those who want to learn more about Mudd’s exploits and for those who want to nostalgize, let’s take a look at the episodes that this spacefaring con man appeared in.
Star Trek: Discovery – Harry Mudd’s Rap Sheet
StarTrek – “Mudd’s Women”
Captain Kirk and crew first encounter Harcourt Fenton Mudd on stardate 1329.8, in 2266, in an episode entitled “Mudd’s Women.” In it, Mudd is rescued by the Enterprise, and, speaking in an Irish accent, introduces himself with a false name. Mudd, his identity is eventually revealed, turns out to be a wanted smuggler who’s engaged in what is essentially a mail-order bride racket.
Mudd gives the would-be brides in his employ pills that grant them good looks and exceptional feminine allure. As the drug wears off, though, the women lose their charms, reverting back to their otherwise plain selves. Mudd manages to arrange a deal with some miners, and his brides get husbands. The miners lose interest when their brides lose their good looks, but in a final confrontation an always clever Jim Kirk switches one of the brides’ pills with a placebo. When she still becomes beautiful after taking it, her own self-confidence is revealed as the source of her beauty.
Star Trek – “I, Mudd”
Mudd has been living on a planet filled with androids after escaping a Denebian death sentence for committing fraud. The androids serve Mudd well, but he grows bored with being their emperor and has them spacejack, you guessed it, the Enterprise. The androids turn out to be the creations of the Makers, an ancient race of aliens from the Andromeda galaxy.
Mudd seeks to strand the crew of the Enterprise on the android planet and take it for himself. The crew outwits the group of androids by acting illogically, and are able to turn things around on Mudd. They re-maroon Mudd with the androids but the only line of identical androids they allow him access to, others being quite attractive, is the one that Mudd modeled after his nagging ex-wife Stella, 500 copies of her. Kirk’s bridge crew laugh in Mudd’s face and the credits roll. Smug, aren’t they?
The crew of the Enterprise are en route to pick Mudd up from the planet “Motherlode,” apparently some kind of mining planet. Mudd is, as usual, wanted on multiple charges, and the Enterprise is here to bring him to trial. Mudd reports that he has a love potion for sale, and, creating a nice juicy conflict, Nurse Chapel in an effort to get Spock to notice her uses the potion on him. The drug is quickly spread throughout the ship, and hilarity ensues.
This is a fun episode because you get to see everybody let their hair down, including Spock who tells Kirk that one of his command decisions is “an outstandingly stupid idea.” The crew eventually regain their senses when the drug wears off, and their feelings of love are replaced by feelings of hatred. Mudd is sentenced to psychiatric treatment, and that’s the last we ever see of him. I guess it worked!
Star Trek: Discovery – Rainn Wilson and Sonequa Martin-Green
It’ll be good to see these two actors in a show together. I wonder how much of a part Wilson will have, but I hope we get to see a younger version of his wife Stella berate and nag him. And while I’m talking about someone who could very well be Harry Mudd’s foil in Star Trek: Discovery, I should bring up that Sonequa Martin-Green’s foil as Commander Michael Burnham may very well be Captain Lorcas as played by Jason Isaacs. Isaacs’s filmography up to this point doesn’t include a lot of good guys, so we’ll have to wait and see if First Officer Burnham becomes Captain Burnham in an exciting mutiny sequence.
One-hundred-plus years of filmmaking provides a long, rich, and deep history to look back on. Retro reviews and analysis of old films are practically necessary full-time specialities. Month after month, films release, vying to make as much money as possible, and reign as box office champs. Some rise, some fall, but regardless of financial success, it’s never a sign of a lasting effect. A great example is the little-mentioned 2012 film which released just eight years ago. 2012 made nearly 800 million dollars and effectively vanished off the face of the earth.
So, where does that leave the ghosts of box office champs past?
The Fate of the Furious releases on April 14th. If the film even makes half of what Furious 7 made it’ll still earn more than all three movies in this write-up. Ten years from now, when I’m doing an updated version of this article, I have no doubt Fate of the Furious will be the ghost of box office champion’s future.
April 2017 is going to be absolute insanity for anyone who watches TV. There’s no two ways about it; with multiple amazing shows airing new seasons every week in April, you won’t be able to spit without hitting a prestige drama. But just in case The Leftovers and Fargo and Better Call Saul and The Americans and Attack on Titan and Veep and Silicon Valley and countless others aren’t enough for you, here are five brand new, highly anticipated shows to check out.
The White Princess – April 16 – Starz
A sequel to The White Queen, an excellent adaptation of an excellent Phillippa Gregory novel, The White Princess is one of the many properties Starz has acquired to up its game in the era of Peak TV. (They’ve already got Ash vs. Evil Dead, an awesome experience in its own right, and another entry on this list…) The series takes place in an England which has been united by the marriage of Henry VII to Elizabeth of York. But this unity is only skin-deep, and beneath its surface lies an undercurrent of partisanship with the potential to once more plunge the nation into conflict. Emma Frost, a writer for The Man in the High Castle, will be serving as the showrunner. The series will also feature Michelle Fairley as Margaret Beaufort, who you probably know as Catelyn Stark from Game of Thrones. Fantasy fans take note.
GirlBoss – April 21 – Netflix
GirlBoss is an admittedly “loose” adaptation of Sophie Amoruso’s autobiography about her life leading up to the creation of Nasty Gal, a massive, multi-million dollar fashion empire. Amoruso, the titular character, will be played by Britt Robertson, who appears perfect for the raucous, anarchistic narcissism demanded by the role. Kay Cannon, who wrote the screenplay for Pitch Perfect, will be serving as showrunner. It will be fascinating to see how GirlBoss depicts Nasty Gal, especially considering the company’s recent plummet from grace and into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Nonetheless, shows about strong, entrepreneurial females are far and few between, and Netflix has an excellent track record with this type of series.
Bill Nye Saves the World – April 21 – Netflix
This one is a little bit of a cheat compared to the others. It is not a drama but a “talk show” hosted by Nye, who presumably has realized he has better, more interesting things to do than debate creationists. Considering the host, it should not come as a surprise that the show will focus on discussing the impact of science in many different aspects of society, while also refuting anti-scientific claims. Nye has drafted Karlie Kloss, Emily Calandrelli, Nazeem Hussain, and Derek Muller to serve as scientific correspondents. We have also been promised appearances by stars ranging from Zach Braff and Rachel Bloom to Steve Aoki, so this is definitely something science fans should be paying attention to.
The Handmaid’s Tale – April 26 – Hulu
It seems odd that there has never been a successful adaptation of The Handmaid’s Tale, which is one of the most widely-read novels of the 80’s and certainly Margaret Atwood’s magnum opus. Nonetheless, this Hulu series seems to be the one to do it. With a cast featuring Elisabeth Moss, Samira Wiley, Joseph Fiennes, and Yvonne Strahovski, it’s hard to imagine how this project could go wrong. In the series, the United States has come under the power of Gilead, a Christian-fundamentalist government bent on the utter subjugation of women. To tell you anymore than that would be to ruin the powerful experience of discovering this dystopian nightmare for yourself. If the show has half the impact of Atwood’s novel, we’re in for a hell of a ride.
American Gods – April 30 – Starz
If American Gods is anything less than the best new show of 2017, it will be a huge disappointment. Sporting Bryan Fuller (of the stunning Hannibal) as the showrunner, along with Michael Green (who co-wrote the script for Logan), this adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s masterpiece features one of the best casts literally ever assembled. Rick Whittle, Ian McShane (!), and Emily Browning lead an ensemble which features Crispin Glover, Jonathan Tucker, Cloris Leachman, Peter Stormare, Gillian Anderson, Dane Cook, Kristin Chenoweth, Jeremy Davies, and Corbin Bernsen, among others. The only thing you need to know about the premise is that Shadow Moon, played by Whittle, is released early from prison due to the death of his wife. On the plane ride home, he sits next to someone who changes his understanding of everything he knows about how the world works. As with The Handmaid’s Tale, to explain anything else would be to ruin your discovery of this beautiful, brutal, riveting universe for yourself. Don’t spoil anything for yourself, just make sure your schedule is clear on April 30.
What do you guys think? Which of these shows are you excited for? What did I leave off the list?
Today, Universal released their one-sheet for The Mummy, the upcoming Universe-building action/adventure (and decidedly void of horror) starring Tom Cruise. And it’s just about as soul-crushingly mediocre as the teasers and trailers we’ve seen to this point.
Here’s the poster:
So, yeah, mediocrity of the highest order. If that’s even possible. Because this new poster doesn’t look terrible, and it’s certainly not great. But this poster exudes the same air as many fans have picked up from the trailers: it’s an empty summer movie vessel.
This is shaping up to be another X:Men Apocalypse, just a run-of-the-mill spare summer blockbuster with a story told primarily against green screen and all sorts of destruction porn and Tom Cruise Running. It has the feel of these soulless, cynical assembly line formula pictures that come and go during the hot months and everyone just sorta moves on. Not promising for what is supposed to be the UNIVERSAL MONSTERS SHARED UNIVERSE!
Sorry for yelling, but the original films shaped the earliest days of my film consciousness. Like so many people my age and older (and hopefully younger), the Universal Monsters told horror fans what horror was. It was a gateway of mysticism and creativity, and it birthed some legendary characters on the silver screen. It was also primarily concerned with horror.
These new ones never wanted to be horror films. That was apparent when the studio hired Fast and Furious dudebro Alex Kurtzman to direct this and serve as a creative director of sorts, a la Zack Snyder at the DCEU. But I held out hope that perhaps some horror elements will sneak in and overwhelm any sort of globetrotting empty-headed action. There are a few clips of Sofia Butella’s Mummy doing some mildly scary shit, but who can remember them all with all that Tom Cruise Running. Plus, London blows up! Have you guys ever seen anything like that before?! Oh… yeah a few times.
Perhaps Tom Cruise and co-write Christopher McQuarrie can save this thing. I am all for Tom Cruise action and plenty of that Running, and McQuarrie is a solid writer. On the flip side, maybe they just hopped on board the train for the payday and nobody can blame them for that.
I just wish they would have worked to give these new movies some sort of discernible personality. Maybe it does, but that hasn’t shown in the trailers. Even if it turned out to be bad and campy and ridiculous, that’s at least something. And I doubt it will be great, so where does that leave us? Yeah, The Mummy will probably end up doing one thing well this summer, and that’s have A/C in its theaters.
In January it was announced that Justin Cronin’s The Passage Trilogy had been picked by Fox to be turned into a TV series. This is amazing news for fans of the novels. The Passage has often been compared to The Stand by horror legend Stephen King due to its apocalyptic tones.
What is The Passage?
Spanning over 100 years The Passage starts with a government conspiracy about death row inmates. 12 murderous criminals who are injected with a virus which gives them psychic abilities. It then morphs into a post-apocalyptic horror pitting the last group of human survivors against legions of vampires. Central to the story is six-year-old Amy Bellafonte who seems to be immune to the virus and is humanity’s last hope.
The pilot has yet to be filmed or cast but is scheduled to start shooting over summer. However, it’s never too early to start getting excited and here are five reasons why.
The Characters
At it’s core The PassageTrilogy is a character driven piece. Despite the time scale of the books, there isn’t a large cast. There are lots of support characters, but ultimately this is the story of Amy and her protectors. Whether it’s FBI agent Bradford Wolgast and Sister Lacy in the present day. Or Peter Jackson and Alicia Donadio in the future. The audience will grow to care about these fully thought out and flawed individuals. Child characters can be hard to relate to for older readers. However, Justin Cronin wrote Amy in such a concise way that the audience won’t be able to resist her charms. The tragic tale of FBI Agent and father figure Wolgast will make for truly captivating TV. While the future character of Peter and his search for hope in a desolated future will melt the heart of even the most jaded viewer.
The Crew Working On The Show
The show is already in very safe hands. Elizabeth Heldens has been confirmed as executive producer and writer. Having worked on Friday Night Lights, Deception and Camp she is no stranger to handling character driven pieces. Matt Reeves has also signed up to produce the pilot. Reeves has experience in the vampire genre having handled the remake of Let Me In. He’s also directed ensemble pieces such as Cloverfield and Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. With these two leading the project all signs are pointing to a huge hit for Fox.
The Villains
The main threat in the series are a group of death row inmates turned Vampire overlords The Twelve. Describe as monstrous, inhuman and gigantic they present the perfect villains for both present and future. While the vampire underlings will be a constant source of threat for the cast in the future. Wolgast and Sister Lacy will at first, have to face off against a secret government group in the present. This threat will allow the writers a chance to show the depth of the characters going against humans and the difficult choices that this will entail. While the future cast will be pit against vampires and the harsh world they now inhabit.
Time Jumps
The audience is going to be watching a series that spans 100 years. Whether they dedicate an episode to each time period or focus on a single time to its conclusion this is a show that is going to be taking the audience on a journey through time. Ideally, a cutting between the present day and future will show the scale of the show. Game Of Thrones has paved the way for epic tales spanning a whole world. There is no reason that The Passage can’t follow their lead and treat the audience to a show set in present day and a vampire torn, bleak future.
This would add tension to all the present day segments as the viewer will ultimately know that the characters will fail at whatever they are trying to do. It would also work well in weaving a rich tale, dropping hints in both time periods that the other will be able to answer. Such as who is Patient Zero? Why is Babcock different from the rest of The Twelve? Are there other survivors?
Rise Of The Bookworm!
2017 is shaping up to be the year of the bookworm. Two of the most anticipated movies of the year The Dark Tower and IT are based on books by Stephen King. A Series Of Unfortunate Events has already been confirmed for another two seasons. The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, American Gods by Neil Gaiman and Midnight Cross Road by Charlaine Harris are just a few of the adaptations hitting the small screen. In a time where comic book movies and shows have dominated the pop culture sphere, it’s refreshing to see books are still as relevant as their comic counterparts.
New Day is a craft meadery/cidery. Located in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana New Day is making its mark on the beer lovers heart. From using ingredients that are top notch, hand picked for bringing out flavors we have never tasted before, this will make the skeptic in your head shut up.
Founders Brett Canaday and Tia Agnew wanted to explore different things they were good at. Turns out, they were really good at everything. They started harvesting their own honey, and from there it took on a life of its own.
Their portfolio includes three ciders and three meads. They will make barrel aged items, as well as more seasonal types, but the six core remain the most strong and popular.
Breakfast Magpie
By far, the most sought after is Breakfast Magpie. This seasonal release goes fast, and for good reason. This mead is black raspberry in flavor and infused with Espresso Reserve beans. Raspberry and coffee? YES PLEASE. It is a beautiful purple color when poured, and makes your glass fill up with the aroma of blackberries. It has an ABV of 8% and is sadly only available in the winter months.
These meads and ciders are great on their own, but they are also versatile. You can mix them with juice, and even harder alcohols to make yourself a super cocktail, or a meadmosa. Using South Cider, with orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine and you have yourself the best breakfast drink of life.
If you get the chance to travel to Indiana, make this stop high on your list. You can sample the year rounds at the tap room, and get yourself a growler to go. They are also available in 500 ML bottles, which you can find in liquor stores across the state.

Paris is the city of love, but in JJ and Al’s webcomic Les Normaux, it’s a city of monsters, too. A boy named Sebastien moves to Paris to learn magic from his aunt, and ends up meeting Elia, a vampire; the comic follows their relationship, as well as their ever-expanding circle of friends.
Hosted on Tapastic, Les Normaux has been running since November 2014. Unlike most comics, it runs in ‘seasons’ of 18-22 strips, and has just started Season 3.
LES NORMAUX – REVIEW
It’s a chronic problem in media these days that LGBT+ romances tend to be sad, gloomy or focused simply on the ‘coming out story’. Les Normaux is a beautiful response to this trend, telling straightforward romance stories with only a few hints of darkness. It’s remarkably easy to just accept the characters as they are – queer, diverse and quite happily blushing at each other or making silly jokes – without the overarching anxiety most queer media brings with it.
The most outstanding feature of Les Normaux’s art are the character designs. It’s impossible to mix up Sebastien and Elia (below), and even minor characters are immediately distinguishable even from a silhouette.
The comic’s characters are also wonderfully and naturally diverse. Among the main characters alone, there is aromantic, asexual, bisexual, gay and lesbian representation; not only that, but characters with Filipino, Indian, Native American, and Moroccan roots. It’s a tribute to the true diversity of Europe, and the discussions of heritage and identity that do come up expertly avoid preaching at the reader. These characters aren’t here to teach a life lesson; they’re simply living and existing as they are.
My only complaint with Les Normaux is a stylistic one; it releases in ‘episodic’ strips to tell its story, but sometimes leaves the smaller gaps unfilled. As a reader, it’s frustrating not to see the details of Sebastien and Elia’s early relationship, but at the same time, the comic invites us to fill in the gaps ourselves.
LES NORMAUX – JJ AND AL
Les Normaux began with a Halloween livestream of monster couples in 2014, and began the collaboration between JJ (KnightJJ) and Al (alababwa).
[O]riginally I did most of the writing and Al did the editing because English isn’t my first language. However ever since the beginning Al has been very involved in creating ideas and even naming the characters.” -KnightJJ
Now, the two of them brainstorm the comic together, talking through plot points and making a general outline of the season.
[F]or each episode we write the script in an interactive file at the same time. Or sometimes I do it before hand and Al goes back in and edits. I create the storyboard and then draw the panels. Al now puts in all the text and speechbubbles. -Knight JJ
The comic is a success on Tapastic (almost 35,000 subscribers) and already picking up a small following on its Patreon.
JJ and Al are also collaborating on Atlas, and JJ is also working on Samuel and Djeya.
