New Poster For Netflix’s ‘Death Note’ Provides Our First Glimpse Of Ryuk

Adam Wingard, director of Netflix’s upcoming Death Note film – based on the manga series of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata – revealed a new poster for the movie via his Twitter account today. Fans will no doubt be excited that it provides our first true glimpse of Willem Dafoe’s live-action incarnation of the Shinigami, Ryuk.

In ‘Death Note’, a young man comes to possess a supernatural notebook, the Death Note, that grants him the power to kill any person simply by writing down their name on the pages. He then decides to use the notebook to kill criminals and change the world, but an enigmatic detective attempts to track him down and end his reign of terror.

Death Note is directed by Adam Wingard and features a cast that includes: Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, Keith Stanfield, Paul Nakauchi, Shea Whigham and Willem Dafoe.
