Neill Blomkamp continues to work on his Aliens sequel and the director loves to tease fans with film updates on his Instagram account. Blomkamp’s latest post brought back the iconic pulse rifle from the James Cameron film.

“We all knew there would be pulse rifles. Obviously. Now with added RIS,” said Blomkamp.

Blomkamp is still working on the script for the fifth Alien film. Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn are planned to return for the sequel. Blomkamp’s Aliens could be released late 2017 or in 2018.

  1. Blomkamp, what an obnoxious interloper. Panders to the fans that just want big guns and exploding aliens. I’m glad it’s out of his hands.
