‘Mosaic’ Trailer: Choose You Own Adventure in Steven Soderbergh’s New Experiment

Mosaic is the latest project from Steven Soderbergh, and another attempt from the eccentric filmmaker to try something new with the medium.

Like those popular books from back in the day, Mosaic will let you choose your own path for the characters in this, a murder mystery starring Sharon Stone, Garrett Hedlund, and Frederick Weller. Let the trailer explain it:

Here is a bit more description from The Playlist:

It’s free, and it will let you fully explore the narrative which will find viewers following famed children’s book author/illustrator Olivia Lake (Sharon Stone) and two men who will soon play important roles in her life: Joel (Garrett Hedlund), a handyman and aspiring artist, and Eric (Frederick Weller), a suitor whose motives may not be genuine. You’ll be able to choose whether or not to roll with Joel’s or Eric’s perspective on the story, and along the way, they’ll meet a number of new characters with their own versions of the story to tell.

It’s a pretty cool experiment from the man who is always looking to try new things. This one is definitely for “the kids” though, I can’t imagine my parents having the first clue how all of this would work.

Mosaic is available now on AppleTV and all it’s various Apple brethren.
