Forest Whitaker On Working With Ryan Coogler For ‘Black Panther’

While promoting Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, actor Forest Whitaker talked about working on Black Panther with Ryan Coogler.

“I’m excited to do it. I mean, I think Ryan’s an amazing filmmaker. I have got a chance to know him since college, so I’m excited to see what it is like to be working with him on the other side, not as a producer, but as an actor because that is how we started with Fruitvale Station.”

Additionally, Whitaker provided a vague description of his character.

“He is like the shaman of this community [and] to the prince.”

You can see the actor play Saw Gerrera in Rogue One, which is still in theaters.
