Warner Brothers have released the first trailer for their upcoming flick Live By Night. Based on a novel by Dennis Lehane, the film follows a group of criminals during the prohibition era.
Written, directed, produced, and starring Ben Affleck, the film’s January 13th release date makes it a strong awards contender. Affleck’s previous directorial effort Argo earned him his second Academy Award (best picture; first win was best screenplay for Good Will Hunting), though he is still chasing his first best director nomination.
Live By Night features an all-star cast including Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson, Chris Cooper, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana, and Scott Eastwood.
