In happy movie news Maleficent 2 is about to begin production! Linda Woolverton originally wrote the script for the sequel, but now it’s being rewritten by Jez Butterworth.
Butterworth’s credits include: Spectre, Edge of Tomorrow, the James Brown biopic Get On Up, and Disney’s upcoming movie Cruella.
Plans for a sequel were announced in 2015 with Angelina Jolie set to reprise her role and Joe Roth set to produce . In 2014 Maleficent was a box office hit grossing almost $760 million worldwide.
