After Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy stated that we’d see the first trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi in Spring, fans have been eagerly anticipating an announcement of some sort. On the topic, Star Wars News Net might have a scoop to tide over fans a bit longer.
According to the outlet, the first teaser for the film will include nearly all the main characters you would expect to see; Luke, Leia, Finn, and Rey were included in the tweet they released.
There are rumors that Luke will not be in the first #TheLastJedi teaser. We heard the contrary. Luke, Leia, Finn and Rey will be there…

The idea that marketing for this movie won’t include Luke is just nonsense. He was absent from The Force Awakens’ trailers and promotional material, but there’s no way the character won’t appear in the trailers for Episode VIII.
As with all rumors, take this with a grain of salt. If anything was proven by The Force Awakens’ marketing it’s that Lucasfilm takes unique, yet effective, approaches to their film pushes.
What are your thoughts on this interesting bit of information? Is there any way Luke doesn’t show up in the film’s first teaser? Let us know in the comments below!
