‘Captain America: Civil War’ – Nice Winter Soldier, Falcon Set Photo

A nice high-resolution set photo from Captain America: Civil War has hit the internet. You can see in the photo below that Sebastian Stan’s ‘Winter Soldier’ has a nice jog with Anthony Macki’s ‘Falcon.’ In an earlier article we established that Winter Soldier and Falcon would be working together.

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman.

Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.

Peter Parker To Take Over The Baxter Building

Marvel Comics continues to put the characters they sold the film rights to on the shelf. Earlier this year Marvel discontinued the Fantastic Four comic book and this November in Amazing Spider-Man #3 written by Dan Slott, Peter Parker and Parker Industries take over the Baxter Building.

At what point does 20th Century Fox sue Marvel Comics for devaluing the brand, the only problem is Fox doesn’t help their cause by making shitty Fantastic Four films.

The One, Two Punch Of ‘Prometheus 2’ (2017) And ‘Alien 5’ (2018)

It appears that 20th Century Fox will release Prometheus 2 in 2017 and follow it up with Neill Blomkamp’s Alien in 2018, according to a source at BloodyDisgusting.com.

The new Alien film is being delayed because Ridley Scott wants to finish Prometheus 2 before moving on to produce the Alien film.

“Alien 5 is still very much in the works, as Fox remains hot on the idea. Blomkamp continues to work on the script (only an outline existed previously) and refine the tale he is telling. Ridley Scott is still producing, but has insisted on Prometheus 2 being made first,” said a source at BloodyDisgusting.com.

Box Office Report: ‘Ant-Man’ Eyes The ‘First Avenger’

Ant-Man is pulling away from The Incredible Hulk at the box office but is still $19,110,835 away from Captain America: The First Avenger. The odd-ball hero just wrapped up week five at the box office generating $5,493,417. Marvel films usually stay in the theater for 16 weeks, Avengers: Age of Ultron is on week 15.

Ant-Man has beat Captain America in weeks five and six, also Ant-Man is playing on more theaters and isn’t dropping off as much as The First Avengers did week to week. Is Ant-Man getting a box office boost due to the bomb that was Fantastic Four? Ant-Man is projected to finish right around $170,000,000.

If Ant-Man does beat Captain America: The First Avenger at the box office it will be a photo finish in week 16.

20th Century Fox released the first trailer to Victor Frankenstein Tuesday morning.

James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe star in a twist on a legendary tale. Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.

Victor Frankenstein will bein theaters on November 25.

Luther Campbell – The NFL Can Fix The Concussion Problem

Rapper Luther Campbell (formerly of 2 Live Crew), 20 years later after going toe-to-toe with the Supreme Court Campbell has become more than just a entrepreneur, he’s a social activist for the city of Miami.

During our interview Campbell talked about the situation in Ferguson, social media, inner city gun violence, presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, concussions in the NFL, and how you can become a social activist as well.

“If you got a guy that can ride in a race car with a helmet on and crash into a wall at 200mph and survive that, you need that helmet. But that helmet does not look sexy in the NFL. So if the NFL real wants to prevent these concussions they would send more money down to the high school programs and they would design a helmet using the designs or using the guys who designed these NASCAR helmets and say, “Lets put this ugly helmet on these guys head, it may look like a spaceship but if we are really really serious about this concussion thing we’ll take that helmet that you can run into the wall at 300mph,”” said Campbell.

Gotham Season 2: Batman’s City Is Getting Whole Host Of Series Regulars, And Villains

Gotham season 2 is shaping up to be quite different from its predecessor. According to TJS Newspaper, is being labeled the season of villains, as there are many new ones appearing Gotham and many others are coming into their own in this Batman prequel. Cinema Blend gives Gotham fans a pretty hearty offering of villains that will be showing their face in Gotham City, long before Batman suits up.

Tigress, Azrael, and Hugo Strange are among this lengthy list of Gotham’s least finest. Strange and Tigress do not seem to hard to work with, but Azrael is an unusual consideration and likely going to be somebody that doesn’t carry much of the characters actual look or name. Gotham’s most notable and infamous, The Penguin, The Joker, and The Riddler, will be advancing to their greater roles from DC Comics.

Oh, and not to forget that Mr. Freeze, Mad Hatter, and Clayface will also begin their Batman origins in Gotham season 2. Does that seem like an awful lot of Gotham’s baddest? Well, there is more villains to be had in Gotham season 2.

There’s billionaire industrialist Theo Galavant, brother to Tigress. Comicbook reports that Fox/Gotham just cast Leo Fitzpatrik as Joe Pike, the leader of a gang of arsonists. Then, there is the kind-of, sort-of villain Capt. Nathaniel Barnes, who will be played by work-outside-the-law The Shield Michael Chikilis. He befriend, and betray, Detective James Gordon during the series. Since Barnes and Gordon’s brand of justice differs, this makes a lot of sense.

Beyond the new entries to Gotham City, Drew Powell (Butch), Morena Baccarin (Leslie Tompkins), Nicholas D’Agosto (Harvey Dent) and Chris Chalk (Lucius Fox) will become series regulars. Since Butch now works for Penguin, Harvey Dent and Lucius Fox are crucial to Batman and Gotham’s future, it seems to make sense. Leslie, Jim Gordon’s girlfriend, hasn’t quite been explained as to where the show will take her.

Batman has a lot on his plate for not even being able to shave yet, so hopefully, Jim Gordon can handle all these Gotham villains in one season. Gotham season 2 premieres September 21, ahead of your other DC Comics shows.

Top 5 Super Hero Roles for Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey has dominated UFC opponents and is on top of her game after a 34 second knockout of Bethe Correa and is working on her fifth film (American Judoka, The Expendables 3, Furious Seven, Entourage, Mile 22)

During a recent AMA on Reddit, a user (u/WiFiForheadWrinkles) asked “If you were to be in a superhero movie, which hero would you play?” to which the UFC Bantamweight champion responded, “well… a lot of the good ones have been taken, but I’d like to vie for Miss Marvel.”

While she is correct in that all of the most well known male characters have been taken, but don’t shortchange the female characters of the comic book universe Ms. Rousey!

There are many great female super heroes that Rousey would be able to bring to life more than any other mainstream actor due to her tremendous mixed martial arts ability and growing acting expierence.

Here are five roles that Rousey would be a great fit for aside from Ms. Marvel.

Ring the bell!

Domino

A bad ass character, which is the main criteria in my selections for Rousey as a super hero, and Domino certainly meets that. Born into a government program to create the perfect mutant, Domino is a righteous character who is battling with her own origins but that doesn’t stop her from taking down anyone who gets in her way.

Feral

A member of the Morlocks who then joined X-Force, Feral has a deadly temper and was the main liability within X-Force when they left Xavier’s mansion. Feral is not your typical hero, unlike Rousey who the public adores, but her abilities inside the octagon make her the best fit for taking on the female equivalent to a Wolverine/Sabretooth combo.

Silver Sable

An ally to your friendly neighborhood Spider Man and other heroes but she is a mercenary and a hunter of war criminals so sometimes she’s on the right side of the law and sometimes she’s not but she’s just dishing out her own brand of justice. Who does that remind you of?

She-Hulk

You don’t really have to stretch your imagination that much to image Ronda Rousey as a bullet proof ball of energy that is looking to crush anything that pisses her off.

Mystique

This would be incredible. Mystique is a vacant role with Jennifer Lawrence not returning the role and Mystique would be a great fit for UFC champ. That icy stare coupled with Mystique’s skin and it might be the best incarnation of the X-Men character. She would be able to showcase her incredible martial arts skill with a different type of edge than what we typically see from her.

Tracy Morgan To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

The iconic NBC comedy franchise “Saturday Night Live” will celebrate the start of its 41st season on Oct. 3 with Miley Cyrus returning as host for a third time. The Grammy Award-nominated and chart-topping artist will host the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 30.

On Oct. 10, Amy Schumer will make her hosting debut. Schumer is coming off her summer box office hit, “Trainwreck,” in which she both wrote and starred. She stars in the TV series, “Inside Amy Schumer,” and her upcoming comedy special, “Amy Schumer: Live From the Apollo,” premieres Oct. 17.

Tracy Morgan will return to Studio 8H on Oct. 17 for his second time as host. As a former cast member, Morgan earned acclaim for his seven seasons on “SNL” and was Emmy nominated for his role on the award-winning comedy series “30 Rock.”

Musical guests will be announced at a later date.
