Top 5 Super Hero Roles for Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey has dominated UFC opponents and is on top of her game after a 34 second knockout of Bethe Correa and is working on her fifth film (American Judoka, The Expendables 3, Furious Seven, Entourage, Mile 22)

During a recent AMA on Reddit, a user (u/WiFiForheadWrinkles) asked “If you were to be in a superhero movie, which hero would you play?” to which the UFC Bantamweight champion responded, “well… a lot of the good ones have been taken, but I’d like to vie for Miss Marvel.”

While she is correct in that all of the most well known male characters have been taken, but don’t shortchange the female characters of the comic book universe Ms. Rousey!

There are many great female super heroes that Rousey would be able to bring to life more than any other mainstream actor due to her tremendous mixed martial arts ability and growing acting expierence.

Here are five roles that Rousey would be a great fit for aside from Ms. Marvel.

Ring the bell! 

Domino

A bad ass character, which is the main criteria in my selections for Rousey as a super hero, and Domino certainly meets that. Born into a government program to create the perfect mutant, Domino is a righteous character who is battling with her own origins but that doesn’t stop her from taking down anyone who gets in her way.

Feral

A member of the Morlocks who then joined X-Force, Feral has a deadly temper and was the main liability within X-Force when they left Xavier’s mansion. Feral is not your typical hero, unlike Rousey who the public adores, but her abilities inside the octagon make her the best fit for taking on the female equivalent to a Wolverine/Sabretooth combo.

Silver Sable

An ally to your friendly neighborhood Spider Man and other heroes but she is a mercenary and a hunter of war criminals so sometimes she’s on the right side of the law and sometimes she’s not but she’s just dishing out her own brand of justice. Who does that remind you of?

She-Hulk

You don’t really have to stretch your imagination that much to image Ronda Rousey as a bullet proof ball of energy that is looking to crush anything that pisses her off.

Mystique

This would be incredible. Mystique is a vacant role with Jennifer Lawrence not returning the role and Mystique would be a great fit for UFC champ. That icy stare coupled with Mystique’s skin and it might be the best incarnation of the X-Men character. She would be able to showcase her incredible martial arts skill with a different type of edge than what we typically see from her.
