Part One

3. Southern Bastards

There are crime stories, there are Southern crime stories, and then there’s Southern Bastards. Set in Craw County, Alabama, a local high school football coach runs his town with an iron fist. The story explores the nature of man, and what someone becomes capable of when pushed to their breaking point. It also deconstructs the South, both celebrating the culture and chastising its flaws (read artist Jason Latour’s post on the Confederate flag).
