Will ‘Young Justice’ Return?

A series of tweets from Young Justice’s co-creators Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti has given a legion of fans hope for the show’s return. The wildly popular series, which focused on the lives of a team of teenaged sidekicks in the DC Universe, ended on a cliffhanger after two seasons in 2013, cancelled because its toy line had not produced enough sales.

However, recent comments from those involved in the creation of the cartoon have sparked speculation that Young Justice might return. Earlier this month, Weisman tweeted several comments suggesting that a third season of the show could be picked up by Netflix:

His former co-producer Brandon Vietti offered similar advice for fans hoping for the show’s renewal:

In addition to Weisman and Vietti’s tweets, several Young Justice voice actors added their own encouragement, including Khary Payton (Aqua Lad), Jason Spisak (Kid Flash), Danica McKellar (Miss Martian), and Eric Lopez (Blue Beetle):

Several fans even spoke with Netflix representatives, and shared the responses they received on social media:

Though still far from certain, Netflix’s positive response to fan support for the show suggests that a season three of Young Justice may soon be in the works.
