Business Insider talked to Ewan McGregor about possibly returning to a Star Wars film, and here’s what the actor had to say.
“Listen, have been asked about it a lot, to the point where it looks a bit like I’m sort of touting for work. I’ve been very open to say I’d be happy to do it, if they want to do it.”
Then, McGregor was specifically asked about an Obi-Wan spinoff film.
“I think they are set going into the 2030s with their movies, but it would be fun to do, of course I’d be happy to do it.”
Based on his comments, it seems as though Disney doesn’t have a plan to bring back the character. Either that’s the case, or McGregor is great at keeping his mouth shut.
Would you want to see the actor return as Obi-Wan Kenobi? Comment below!
Jack’s will to survive is pushed to its absolute limits after a deadly, unseen foe launches a relentless surprise attack.
The episode starts with bringing Aku back for the first time this season. Once again actor Greg Baldwin steps up to replace the late great Mako, just as he did in the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. He does a fantastic job in the role. Also, its revealed Aku has started to duplicate himself to serve as his therapist. Apparently the fact Jack hasn’t aged and is still being a nuisance to him is just too much for him to handle. It’s very comedic compared to what follows but it’s a bit of needed lightheartedness in an otherwise dark and action packed episode.
The main focus is the Daughters of Aku catch up with Jack and blindsiding him mercilessly. It’s intense and they try to make sure he doesn’t have a moment to regroup and resupply. This is a battle the likes of which Jack has never before experienced. It’s a brutal match which keeps the audience invested for the entire episode. In the middle of it all, as Jack finds himself having to hide to save his life and is confronted again by another hallucination. This time it’s a reflection of himself and it almost sounds like it’s egging him on to commit suicide and join his family in the afterlife. The creative team is not pulling their punches with the adult content this season.
These factors alone would make the episode top notch but their is also one more redeeming quality to it. The art showcased is some of the best in the entire series utilizing new settings and atmospheres. The phenomenal art effects are demonstrated by slowing down the animation in the rain to showcase Jack sensing his surroundings. The moment is breathtaking and a sight to behold.
There is also a parallel story being told of a white wolf fighting off a pack of alien beasts. A fantastic use of symbolism to help make this an unforgettable episode. This is a perfect episodes from its start to its ending and is the definitive proof fans should not miss one moment of the new season of Samurai Jack.
Coincidentally, on the weekend that Iron Fist premiered on Netflix, Marvel’s The Defenders has wrapped production. One of the show’s makeup artists, Sarit Klein, gave an update via Instagram.
“Defenders wrap party . Makeup team in da house! These girls made this show fun and worked their ass off ! Couldn’t have done it without all of U !”
It won’t be long before the show hits Netflix. However, the marketing hasn’t really started yet, so expect a trailer relatively soon.
Hype yourself up for The Defenders by binging Iron Fist, which is on Netflix now!
“Danny Rand returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting his world around him with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.”
Months ago, when Ben Affleck was still directing The Batman, it was confirmed that Joe Manganiello was set to play Deathstroke. Now, however, following reports that the film is being completely re-written, it seems as thought Manganiello might not be portraying the character any more.
In an interview, the actor was asked about his role in the film. His response?
“Um, maybe. We’ll see.”

‘Dynamic Duet’ is coming this Tuesday. The musical episode of the ‘Flash’ with a crossover twist of ‘Supergirl’ is the newest event to hit the CW airwaves. This week, we got a new poster for the episode, and I must say, it is completely badass.
According to my source, both Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) and Grant Gustin (Flash) made their starts on the musical show ‘Glee.’ To see them singing and dancing makes us even more excited now that we know they both had musical backgrounds already!
After both superheroes fall into a coma, trapped in the same world, run by the music meister. In order to get out, they must follow the script just like an old movie or they will be stuck. We get some really great familiar faces in this episode, and all of them have awesome musical talent.
Dynamic Duet
DARREN CRISS (“GLEE”) GUEST STARS AS THE MUSIC MEISTER IN THE FLASH AND SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER – Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her.
However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end.
‘The Flash’ airs Tuesday nights at 8/7c on The CW.
While Elvis is known as the King, Berry is seen as the first rock artist. His style combines rock, R&B, and country. Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney and Keith Richards cite him as an influence when they were growing up.
His hits include “Johnny B Goode”, “Hail Hail Rock and Roll”, and “You Never Can Tell”. Other songs are “Rock and Roll Music”, “Roll Over Beethoven”, and “Maybellene.”
Apart from his songs, Berry is also known for creating the famous “duck walk”. This is a move that has widely been imitated.
In the 80s and 90s, Berry’s got a boost among a new generation. “Johnny B. Goode” features in Back To The Future, and “You Never Can Tell” appears in Pulp Fiction.
During the last decade, he made fewer concert appearances. His son told Rolling Stone that Berry had a bout with pneumonia at an earlier date.
At the time of his death, Berry had been recording a new album- his first in 38 years. Titled “Chuck” it was to be a tribute to his wife of 68 years.
Stephen King revealed the first poster for the highly anticipated adaptation of The Dark Tower on his Facebook page today. And it’s pretty awesome.
Check it out:
The Dark Tower series tells the story of Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World’s post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower. Located in the fey region of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, the Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum. It is the heart of all worlds, but it is also under threat. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.
Fans of the series will probably recognize Lud, the city in Mid World from the books. They might also realize that, yes, Lud is from Book Three. While we’ve known for some time they will be combining elements of The Dark Tower books along the way, this glimpse gives us just a little more insight.
The poster reveal also means a teaser or trailer isn’t too far away now. The film stars Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Taylor, Abbey Lee, Jackie Earle Haley, and Abbey Lee. It’s directed by Nikolaj Arcel, and will hit theaters July 28. Hopefully they can pull off this book combination approach and not ruin it for fans.
Look, as a parent, fairy tales get boring. Which is why when Scottie Young’s I Hate Fairyland was released a few years ago, I jumped on it like I would a trampoline. Well, actually, probably more so since I’m pretty lazy and trampolines seem like a lot of work. I was a huge Young fan back from A-Babies v X-Babies. Obviously, well, I have problems. You know, as he noted in the intro to A-Babies, I was basically watching a bunch of babies clobber each other. Fine. I have problems. Those problems, however, are one of the main reasons that having I Hate Fairyland back in my box on Wednesdays makes me so incredibly happy.
For those of you who would, sadly, be new to I Hate Fairyland, here’s a brief overview. In this week’s issue, Gert finds herself a her favorite convention, Dungeon Festexpocon. For those of you out there who’ve been to one of the larger cons, this is going to hit home. Remember the first time you paid a ton of money to meet your favorite celebrity for all of 3 seconds? Remember how you might have been slightly disappointed? Well, that’s what happens to poor Gert.

This whole scene is everything. We’ve all had those con moments we built up in our heads. “I’m going to meet my most favorite person in the history of ever who shaped my life in so many ways. OMG!” Then we get to the table, and we either blurt out our entire life story or get so nervous we can’t find anything to say. Reading this whole issue reminded me of Carrie Fisher’s discussion of being the celebrity signer in her last memoir The Princess Diarist. In her own estimable way, she refers to it as being a lap dance, you know, like with strippers. In this one panel, Young manages to capture that overzealous fan experience Fisher discussed while giving both characters equal amounts of pathos. Gert so very much wants her idol to see her, to recognize her. Gwag is just doing her job, sitting there and listening but obviously distanced. Her reactions to Gert are less sympathetic than Gert had imagined because, well, Gert is a stranger accosting her with hero-worship. This interplay in one panel perfectly sums up both sides of the fan experience.
The thing about I Hate Fairyland that never ceases to amaze me is how Young can take a character like Gert and make her sympathetic. Gert is, by most stretches of the imagination, a horrible human being. She’s as foul-mouthed as you can get in muffin fluffing Fairyland. She kills indiscriminately. She looks like a 12-year-old girl but swears like a 30-year-old drunk. She’s basically a green haired, female Baby Herman from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
And yet, we love Gert. Part of the reason we love her is because she is everything that we should hate. Every time you think Gert might change, she reminds you that she’s horrible. That is, until this week.

Of course, in typical Gert style, she kills someone in the next panel. Then again, we can’t expect a complete makeover. If Gert did that, she wouldn’t be our most loveable sociopath.
We love Gert specifically because she is predictably, awfully, selfish. We love Gert because she’s colorfully foul-mouthed. We love Gert because, as Jack Nicholson said in A Few Good Men, “deep down, in places people don’t talk about at parties” we want Gert in that world, we need Gert in that world.
So, hopefully, Gert’s new life outlook will keep her where we want and need her: amazingly, horribly, lovably, foul-mouthedly, hypercoloredly, perfect.
It is with a heavy heart that I report on this. Comic book legend, Bernie Wrightson has passed away after a long battle with cancer. The news came from his wife via Facebook.
Wrightson was known for being one of the best monster and horror comics illustrators ever. He not only had definitive runs on DC’s Swamp Thing and Heavy Metal magazine, but he also wrote and drew a highly regarded adaptation of Frankenstein and was responsible for the comic book version of the Stephen King/George Romero movie Creepshow and also illustrated King’s horror novella Cycle of the Werewolf.
Very sincere condolences to his family and friends.
The Zeo Crystals Is A Deep Cut For Power Rangers Fans
It’s been long rumored and even slightly confirmed but now, it’s official. The upcoming ‘Power Rangers‘ film will feature the Zeo Crystals!
When messaging with the Power Rangers Facebook messenger app, it starts a roleplaying game where you train to be a Ranger with Alpha 5. During these training, Alpha 5 states the mission is stop Rita Repulsa from finding the Zeo Crystal.
Check out an example below:
If you know anything about the mythos of Power Rangers, this is a pretty big deal. Not only does this add an extra layer of fan service but this could possibly set-up the sequel. Introducing something as important as the Zeo Crystals this early into the franchise is a bold move but shows the creators have faith.
For those who don’t know, the Zeo Crystals are powerful objects with powers to unlock new Power Ranger suits. This allowed the original ‘Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers‘ show to reboot itself after a fairly long run. With new suits, new characters, and new powers; the show felt fresh again and I personally think it helped it helped it last this long.
If they are setting something like the Zeo Crystals in the first film, it could mean the Rangers could be changing for the next installment, if there is one. That also opens up the possibility of each ‘Power Rangers‘ movie having inspiration from a season of the show.
What do you think of the inclusion of the Zeo Crystals?
Let me know in the comments below.
‘Power Rangers’s is set to be released on March 24, 2017. The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston, and Elizabeth Banks. The film is directed by Dean Israelite.
