New Marvel Cinematic Universe Posters Bring on the Bright Colors (UPDATED!)

While we’re getting a healthy dose of epic new trailers from SDCC, we’re also seeing some great new posters coming from Marvel Studios for Avengers: Infinity War, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther.

Black Panther’s new poster has him looking like a king, looking over Wakanda from up high from the Panther monument teased in the credits of Captain America: Civil War. The logo is a little different too, adding a bright blue to the text that looks good. Blue Skies, sun shining, and T’Challa ready to defend his kingdom:

But if that wasn’t colorful enough, we have Thor: Ragnarok to melt out screens. Somebody liked geometry in high school. There is enough symmetry here to make an SAT problem out of—and it looks awesome. It might be Marvel’s first poster perfectly suitable for an acid trip:

Finally, we have two posters for Avengers: Infinity War. Again, we’re getting a bit more color and a painted look—and some surprising character choices. While Mantis, Nebula, and Winter Soldier make the poster, Star-Lord, Thor, and Cap are nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, even Thanos is rocking the colorful hues and owning that bald look:

Marvel is bringing on the bright colors, a trend set by Guardians of the Galaxy. These posters fit the tone of the MCU much better than what we’ve seen in the past. Look at how dark and moody they wanted to be:

Marvel Studios is embracing their tone wonderfully, and it makes waiting for the movies that much harder.

Update: Bearded Cap has arrived!
