Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Snags 1st Emmy Award

Marvel’s Jessica Jones snagged its first statue at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, according to Deadline.

The Netflix series won Best Original Main Title Music. It beat five other shows, including Netflix’s Sense8 and Narcos.

Jessica Jones received a nomination in the Outstanding Main Title Design category.  Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle won the prize.

Netflix renewed the series for a second season. Krysten Ritter plays a super-powered private investigator with PTSD.

In addition, Ritter reprises her role in Marvel’s Defenders first. The series features Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. While there’s no official date, it’s expected to hit Netflix sometime next year.
