Hot Rumor: Matt Reeves Set To Direct ‘The Batman’

The director of ‘Cloverfield’ and ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ Matt Reeves, is in talks with Warner Bros. to direct ‘The Batman’ after Ben Affleck walked away from the director’s chair in January, according to sources at Variety.

Reeves has committed to directing the project but no official deal has been announced.

‘The Batman’ is written by Geoff Johns and Ben Affleck, no plot details have been revealed. The film stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Joe Manganiello as Slade Wilson / Deathstroke, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.
