Netflix has announced that it will be producing an Umbrella Academy series. The short-lived comic will be turned into a live-action show for the streaming service. It’s hard to imagine some of these colorful characters as real world characters. However, here are some choices that could make these characters work.
4. Seance/Klaus Hargreeves
Séance is your classic sarcastic goth kid. He’s very lanky and creepy, having the ability to talk with dead people. He’s a very attitude-heavy guy, and can channel all kinds of other personalities. The actor needs to be able to play a colorful character, even when wearing all black.
WHO TO CAST?
One actor that seems like a fantastic choice is Jimmi Simpson. The actor has shown phenomenal range in comedy and drama, which makes him well suited for the role as Séance. With Orphan Black ending, Jordan Gavaris could also be a solid choice. Now that Orphan Black is ending, Gavaris potentially has the time for a new series. Another solid pick is Cory Michael Smith, notable for his role as Riddler on Gotham. It needs to be a thin guy, master of sarcasm, and just a little creepy.
