“Chew” TV Series Has Found A New Home?

According to Bleeding Cool, there will be announcement regarding the Image Comics title Chew by John Layman and Rob Guillory.

In 2011, Showtime was developing the comic into a half-hour comedy series. Then in 2013, Layman stated on Facebook that the Showtime deal was not moving forward.

There is also an animated feature in the works, that announcement came in April of 2014.

There are three options for the Chew announcement; the show found a new home, there is a trailer for the animated feature, or a live action film will be announced.

Chew is an American comic book series about a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) agent who solves crimes by receiving psychic impressions from comestibles, including people. It is written by John Layman with art by Rob Guillory and published by Image Comics. The series has won two Eisner Awards and two Harvey Awards.
