Geoff Johns’ ‘Doomsday Clock’ Was Influenced By The 2016 Election

DC Comics released an interview with Geoff Johns, the President and Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment Friday morning that explains what ‘Doomsday Clock’ is and what influenced the story.

According to the video, Johns watched the 2016 election and then came up with the idea for the book.

“In 2016, November the election happened in the U.S. and a lot of other things happened in the world, I was looking at everything and I reread Watchmen and suddenly one day the story was in my head,” said Johns.

After reading ‘Doomsday Clock,’ thought-provoking is how Johns wants you to describe the book. He challenges you to think.
