The nominations for the 69th Emmy awards were announced Thursday, July 13th. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite line up with our dream nominations. In fact, several phenomenal shows went completely overlooked. Many of the shows nominated are definitely deserving of love. However, many top comedies and dramas have been utterly snubbed. This list covers six such TV shows that deserve far more love than the Emmys are giving them.
5. Bojack Horseman
Netflix has several stand-out shows. Many of them get Emmy love, like House of Cards and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. However, Bojack Horseman is a Netflix comedy that hasn’t gotten nearly enough love. It’s an intense combination of clever comedy, visual gags, and devastating emotional moments. The latest season displayed a strong continuous storyline, as Bojack struggles with his successes. The series has an incredible amount of wit and depth. It might take a while to get into, as the first season is slow, but now it’s amazing. Whether it can be nominated for Best Comedy, or only Best Animated Series, it deserves more award buzz.
