The CW is on a roll with announcements, Constantine returns as a series on CW Seed. Thanks to TVLine we know that John Constantine is back with Matt Ryan returning to the role to voice him. After Matt Ryan’s appearance on Arrow as John Constantine, everyone was wondering if there would be more, now we know. As for actual knowledge of the new series, that is less clear. All we know is that episodes will be about ten minutes and the series will run for six to seven episodes. There’s no official date for when the series will launch on the CW Seed site. We’ll know more on this series in the months to come but I can imagine already, fans are getting excited.
All I can say, it’s about time that Constantine made a comeback.
This is great news as now we know that in at least in animated form, we are getting more of this great character. It goes to show you how beloved the series is that even now, fans still want more Constantine. We still know next to nothing outside of the bare bones details off of TVLine, but this is cool. Personally, I’ll be keeping track of these developments as I’ve been wanting more of the show myself. It’s a great day to be a fan of John Constantine for sure, especially Matt Ryan’s take on the character.
Now I want to hear from you all in the Monkeys Fighting Robots Universe, what do you think? Whatever pops into your head on this, feel free and leave us a comment below, we will be happy to hear from you. This has definitely made a quiet Sunday a lot of fun. From this perspective, John Constantine has a bright future ahead of him on The CW, in one form or another.

Although Warner Bros. comic book films are seemingly leading the Razzies pack, it should be noted that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, another comic book property, is also mentioned in the category of “Worst Screenplay”.

The Razzies will announce the official nominees on January 23.
A big announcement has been made by The CW, all DCTV shows are renewed for another year, along with three other returning fall shows. Via Deadline, at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, The CW renewed all seven of their returning fall shows, even Supernatural is renewed. Yes, the renewals include Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin too. If you’re wondering, The Vampire Diaries is in their final season, with No Tomorrow and Frequency not mentioned in the renewals. We don’t know how many episodes any of these renewed shows are getting, but that will be set in May. All we know is, for fans of these shows this is great news.
The CW: When we renew shows, we don’t mess around, especially with DCTV.
Last year The CW announced their shows in March, now they decided to renew all their seven returning shows even earlier. With the success of the DCTV crossovers with Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and now Supergirl, on the CW, this sealed the renewal of those shows. Note what CW President Mark Pedowitz says, “Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas,” and he continues, “Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.” Simply put, they are confident in these shows and they know they’ll keep being able to build on them.
For all of you reading out there, what do you think of the renewals of these shows? Feel free to let us know in the comment section below. Whatever opinion you may have, we will be happy to hear whatever you may think. In any case, it is great news and shows that the CW has a lot of confidence in all of these series.
Finally, another trailer for ‘The Flash’! Is it midseason time yet?
The episode, entitled “Borrowing Problems from the Future” we pick up right where we left off:
First of all, before the holiday break, Wally trains with HR against the wishes of Joe and Barry. ‘Kid Flash’ was in full effect by the end of the episode. Julian (played by Harry Potter star Tom Felton) turns out to be Savitar, without knowing he is Savitar. Most importantly, Barry has a vision of Iris’ untimely death. Also, she dies by Savitars hand.
According to my source, the synopsis for the new episode:
The Flash Season 3 episode 10, “Borrowing Problems From The Future”– BARRY FIGHTS FOR IRIS — Barry (Grant Gustin) is tormented by his vision of the future where Iris (Candice Patton) is murdered by Savitar. When a criminal named Plunder (guest star Stephen Huszar) shows up in Central City, Barry recalls the villain’s presence in his vision of the future and fears that if he catches Plunder, it will cement Iris’ fate. Confused about Barry’s hesitation to stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) decides to step in as Kid Flash. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) offers Julian (Tom Felton) a job.
Due to the ratings of the four-part crossover event at an all time high, it looks like ‘The Flash’ isn’t going anywhere. Although questions were answered on the midseason finale, due to ‘Flashpoint’ many ends are still loose.
Will Wally stay a badass ‘Kid Flash’? Is HR going to stick around? Can Caitlin and Cisco embrace their powers with open arms while fighting on team Flash? Only time will tell.
“Borrowing Problems from the Future” is directed by Millicent Shelton and written by Grainne Godfree & David Kob.
‘The Flash’ airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW, followed by ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’
The CW has released another trailer for, Riverdale, the new one-hour live-action drama based on the classic Archie Comics characters. This new trailer REALLY lays on the heavy Twin Peaks influence that has been mentioned before. You can check out the trailer below.
https://youtu.be/zS6yNHuTSfE
Riverdale is written by Archie Comics Chief Creative Officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and produced by Warner Brothers Studios and Berlanti Productions and has been described as a subversive take on the classic Archie mythos. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schecter, Jon Goldwater, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa serve as executive producers.
The live-action series offers a bold, compelling take on Archie, Betty, Veronica, and their friends, exploring small-town life and the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome facade. The show will focus on the eternal love triangle of Archie Andrews, girl-next-door Betty Cooper, and rich socialite Veronica Lodge, and will include the entire cast of characters from the comic books—including Archie’s rival, Reggie Mantle, and his best friend, Jughead Jones.
Riverdale stars KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Luke Perry as Fred Andrews, Molly Ringwald as Molly Andrews, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Ross Butler as Reggie Mantle, Casey Cott as Kevin Keller, Mädchen Amick as Alice Cooper, and Marisol Nichols as Hermione Lodge.
The show will premiere Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at 9/8c on The CW.
Midseason premiere time, ‘Arrow’ is back, and so is Laurel Lance?
The midseason finale had us all in hysterics. The happy-again Felicity lost her boyfriend, Detective Malone. (who else is team Oliver/Felicity?) Curtis’ husband left him due to lying, and Laurel Lance comes back from the dead.
Laurel. Lance.
‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell joked during a Facebook live hang out. “People just don’t come back from the dead, Obviously there will be some sort of vetting process, we delve into that when we come back in the new year.”
According to my source, there is also a search going on for the person who trained Oliver to begin with. Most likely, Talia Al Guhl will make some sort of appearance this season.
As for Diggle, he is in jail hence awaiting a trial date.
Rumors also has it that a new ally will be in to help out Team Arrow.
Here is the synopsis for “Who Are You?”
OLIVER WANTS JUSTICE; FELICITY WANTS REVENGE — Worried that Prometheus is right and he is truly a killer at heart, Oliver (Stephen Amell) looks for any ray of hope and finds it in what seems to be the miraculous return of Laurel Lance (guest star Katie Cassidy).
However, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), still reeling from Detective Malone’s murder, is bent on revenge – she wants to stop Prometheus at any cost. While in prison, Diggle (David Ramsey) fights for his life.
Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan.
While Diggle is in jail, one can only hope Team Arrow gets an extra hand or two. With Laurel back, things could get really interesting.
In a recent interview, Supergirl actress Melissa Benoist was asked about whether or not she thinks the DC Extended Universe’s tone will eventually fit in with DC television.
“I think so. Ezra Miller’s Flash is bringing humor and quirkiness, and the DC TV universe has had to grapple with some pretty dark, emotional storylines on “Arrow.” I do think it’s inevitable that we all start to reflect each other. But I do love how positive and uplifting “Supergirl’s” character is and I don’t think she will change too drastically from that, because in essence that’s just who she is.”
This is a somewhat controversial topic among comic book fans. Some prefer the dark and gritty DCEU tone, whereas other enjoy the lighthearted nature of DC TV shows.

Supergirl returns to The CW on January 23, with Wonder Woman and Justice League hitting theaters later this year.
It needs to be noted that, although Gunn mentioned a Moon Knight movie, he also made it known that he is not making the film. Could Marvel make a film based on the character? Yes. However, it’s extremely unlikely that Gunn would write or direct the project.
Is Marvel were to make a Moon Knight movie, could you see Kingpin popping up? Leave us your thoughts in the comments below.
Peter Gadiot has signed on to play Mister Mxzptlk in Supergirl, according to Heroic Hollywood.
The character will appear in two episodes of the series.
Mxyzptlk is one of Superman’s antagonists. Although not an actual threat to the hero, he acts as more of a nuisance. He comes from the 5th dimension, and the only way to send him back is tricking him into saying or spelling his name backwards.
Supergirl returns to The CW on January 23 with Kevin Smith’s episode, Supergirl Lives.
“Supergirl Lives” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV) KEVIN SMITH DIRECTS; ROULETTE RETURNS — Kara (Melissa Benoist) is moved by the story of a missing woman named Izzy (guest star Harley Quinn Smith) and decides to investigate despite Snapper Carr’s (guest star Ian Gomez) order to leave it alone. Kara takes Mon-El (Chris Wood) with her to the last place Izzy was seen and the duo find themselves thrust through a portal to another planet, Slaver’s Moon, where the downtrodden are sold as slaves. The leader of the trafficking ring is none other than Roulette (guest star Dichen Lachman). To make matters worse, Slaver’s Moon has a red sun, which means Kara and Mon-El are stripped of their powers and stuck on the planet with no way home. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Alex (Chyler Leigh) blames herself for Kara’s disappearance, fearing she’s become too focused on her new relationship with Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) and too complacent in watching out for her sister. Kevin Smith directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Eric Carrasco & Jess Kardos (#209). Original airdate 1/23/2017.”

Michael Keaton is enjoying a Hollywood comeback, but he’s best known for his role as Batman.
He famously turned down a third Batman film in 1993. Val Kilmer would step in as Bruce Wayne for Batman Forever. George Clooney would take on the role in Batman & Robin.
In a new interview, the actor states he quit the series because the script for Batman Forever “sucked”. At first, he did stick around for a lot of meetings with the studio. During this time, Warner Brothers felt Tim Burton shouldn’t direct the third movie. Enter Joel Schumacher.
“I knew it was in trouble when he [Schumacher] said, ‘Why does everything have to be so dark?”, says Keaton.
According to CBS, he turned down $15 million to reprise the role for a third time. He describes Batman Forever as being “awful.”
Despite Keaton’s exit, he did play an actor who played a superhero in 2014’s Birdman. That role earned him an Oscar nomination. Keaton is returning to the superhero genre this summer. This time, he’ll be playing the Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
