Netflix is looking to wish us all a ‘Happy New Year!’ by ringing in ‘The End of the F***ing World’.
No, not literally. The streaming giant recently released the NSFW trailer of the controversial show that caused quite the stir in the U.K. last fall and revealed a premiere date as well.

The show is based on the award-winning graphic novels by Charles Forsman and is best-described as a savage teen romance series. The premise follows James, a budding teen psychopath, and Alyssa, a rebel hungry for adventure, as they embark on a star-crossed road trip to find a better life and escape the impending doom of adulthood. As their chaotic journey unfolds, it becomes apparent that the two have crossed a line and have no choice but to take it as far as they can.
The impending U.S. premiere date, which came out of nowhere, is set for this weekend, January 5, 2018.
