With the 4th of July holiday upon us, it’s time once again to take a look at the best movies that we have seen so far in 2017.
Baby Driver
Edgar Wright’s latest release is my top ranked movie so far, and it’s not even close. This release has an incredible narrative, fantastic acting, and stunts that will make audience’s jump out of their seats. Here’s our review. Check out the trailer!
The Big Sick
Amazon Studios has been slowly rolling this movie out to a national audience, but this film will be in most major cities by mid-July. It’s the story of how Kumail Nanjiani meets his wife Emily and how an unexpected medical emergency brought everyone closer. Here’s my review. Check out the trailer!
Get Out
This horror film written and directed by Jordan Peele took the box-office by storm. So well written, well acted, and incredibly poignant. Check out our review. Here’s the trailer!
Logan
Directed by James Mangold, this final tale of Logan’s Redemption is considered by many to be one of the best superhero films ever. Here’s our review. Check out the trailer!
War For The Planet Of The Apes
Matt Reeves directs the final installment of this new Planet of the Apes trilogy. Can’t recommend this film enough. Check out our review. Here’s the trailer!
Their Finest
A look at the use of propaganda by the United Kingdom during World War II. A great cast with a narrative that will catch the biggest skeptic off guard. Here’s out our review. Check out the trailer!
Raw
A French film about the impact of being socially stunted. Some might just look at the trailer and judge it on its graphic cannibalism scenes, but there’s much more to it than that. It’s a beautifully shot film that sticks with you. Check out our review. Here’s the trailer!
The Zookeepers Wife
The story of a couple who owned the Warsaw Zoo and how they helped hundreds of persecuted Jewish families escape from harm. Jessica Chastain is fantastic in this film. Here’s our review. Check out the trailer!
Wonder Woman
Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot were two dynamic choices to direct and star in this film which paid off for DC big time. Not one of the best superhero movies ever, but certainly one of the most memorable. Check out our review. Here’s the trailer!
Beauty and the Beast
Every time I doubt the ability of Disney to take a classic and make into a live action film, they prove me wrong. Emma Watson and Dan Stevens are a sight to behold in this beautiful remake. Here’s our review. Check out the trailer!
