Dwayne Johnson Adding Another Action Movie To His Resume With ‘Skyscraper’

Monkeys Fighting Robots

Man, nothing can stop Dwayne Johnson! According to DarkHorizons.com, the very prolific global movie star is set to start filming Skyscraper this August in China, for a 2018 release.

Although details are scarce at the moment, Skyscraper will re-team Johnson with his Central Intelligence director Rawson Marshall Thurber who also scripted.

A take on the classic The Towering Inferno, the film will be about the world’s largest skyscraper which catches fire – a blaze reaching a mile into the sky.

Johnson will be playing a US War Vet, who is disabled and a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader.  His wife and kids are trapped on the top floor, making things personal.

The project comes from Legendary Pictures.

Say what you will about all these new “tentpole” movies, Dwayne Johnson is usually at the very least fun and charismatic. He is one of the better modern day mainstream action stars we have. His stuff is always worth a look and Central Intelligence was a lot more fun than I expected.
