This series will be a brief, semi-comedic review of the CW superhero shows. You can check out last week’s review post here. The only shows discussed will be ‘Arrow’, ‘Flash’, and ‘Supergirl’. There WILL be some spoilers discussed, so only look at the reviews you’re up to date on!
2. The Flash, “Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash” (Jan 30th)
While Team Flash really doesn’t need more metas, this is a fun episode. Cecile having pregnancy-specific telepathy is confusing, but at least it puts a time limit on mind-reader jokes. Likewise, the episode doesn’t rely too heavily on the “smaller Cisco and Ralph” gimmick. It’s nice to see some depth out of both Cecile and Harry, who haven’t gotten as much love this season. Barry’s moral code about not escaping jail is challenged, as he has no problem breaking a different guy out (along with cheating at poker). Also, just because a dude says he won’t confess doesn’t mean he can’t be found guilty – that’s how Barry got in jail! Enough of the elements of this episode are strong enough to make this episode a good time.
