5Ultimate Spider-Man #66-67
From one Spider-Man/Wolverine team-up to another, this mini-arc from the seminal Ultimate Spider-Man sees our heroes channel Freaky Friday as they unexpectedly wake up to find they have swapped bodies. Hilarity ensues as each struggles to cope with each others powers and lives, all the while attempting to uncover what exactly happened to them. Peter’s inability to control Wolverine’s iconic claws and Logan’s propensity for reckless abandon, leads to some cringe-worthy moments, but they are able to reconcile long enough to put the Shocker in his place. At the end of the day, each comes away with an appreciation of each other’s own difficulties, even if they have created some new ones themselves. Its a fun, enjoyable romp that has inspired a similar Laura Kinney/Spider-Gwen team-up and formed the basis of an episode of the much maligned Ultimate Spider-Man TV show.
