5 Underrated Wolverine Stories

2Wolverine: Snikt

Those in tune with the Manga and Anime industries will probably have heard of Tsotomu Nihei, the cyberpunk-loving mangaka, of Blame! and Knights of Sidonia fame. What you may not have known is that back in 2003 he colloborated with Marvel on a five-issue miniseries known as Wolverine: Snikt which saw Logan transported to the year 2058 by a mysterious girl named Fusa. Dark futures seem to haunt the X-Men and this particular dystopia, saw humanity brought to the brink of extinction by the mechanical terrors known as the Mandates. With adamantium as their only weakness, it was up to Wolverine to be the best at what he does and save the future once more. There may have been nothing spectacular about this series from a story perspective, its basically a riff on the old Terminator premise, but Tsotomu brought us an artistic flair that was hereto unseen at the house that Stan and Jack built. It is one of the most visually distinctive Wolverine stories around and definitely worth your time.
