The nominations for the 69th Emmy awards were announced Thursday, July 13th. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite line up with our dream nominations. In fact, several phenomenal shows went completely overlooked. Many of the shows nominated are definitely deserving of love. However, many top comedies and dramas have been utterly snubbed. This list covers six such TV shows that deserve far more love than the Emmys are giving them.
2. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
The CW’s musical comedy is an interesting, unique TV program. While many associate the network with moody teens and DC superheroes, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is wonderfully unique. The second season was solid, taking the characters in new and interesting places. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has gotten critical love from other award shows. In fact, the series won a Golden Globe for Best Comedy last year. However, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has gotten recognition from the Emmys, aside from some music nods. The music is great, but there’s so much more to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend that deserves Emmy respect.
