Stan Lee Adds To The Marvel V. DC Rivalry, And Reveals What Would Improve DC Comics Films

Stan Lee just took a comical shot at DC Comics in the never ending Burger King/McDonald’s like rivalry between the big comic book and entertainment giants, Comicbook reports. Marvel and DC Comics fans have likely noticed the increased rivalry since both publishers started creating their own cinematic universes.

Stan Lee has taken the latest shot in the ongoing feud between Marvel and DC, and Marvel Comics fans will likely find it quite amusing.

“I can’t make out what he said, but it sounded like it came from the heart. I want to do more cameos also, I’ve even let people know it doesn’t have to be a Marvel movie, I don’t know why DC hasn’t called me. They could use me!”

Stan Lee was being asked about future cameos, and whether or not he had considered doing any for other films.  The back and forth has been going on for some time, and most recently, Suicide Squad director David Ayers yelled out “F*** Marvel!” at the premier of the film.

Blankman And J5

The Wrap reported last September on the mixed review Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder took his own shot at Marvel that was a little less friendly than Stan Lee, or even David Ayers.

“It goes to the mythological nature of the movies that we’re making. I feel like he’s right. But I feel like Batman and Superman are transcendent of superhero movies in a way, because they’re Batman and Superman. They’re not just, like, the flavor of the week Ant-Man — not to be mean, but whatever it is. What is the next Blank-Man?”

Stan Lee, Zack Snyder, David Ayers, and others will continue to take shots and mud slinging, but in the end it all benefits the their own sector of the film industry. Rivalries and competition is good business, and trash talk was invented for such things.

No sides taken, but Stan Lee’s comments seem to be the most humorous in intent, and likely the most comedic.
