The cast of Jessica Jones was at New York Comic Con over the weekend and Wil Traval discussed his character and the direction the character might take.
Traval mentioned in an interview with IGN that he’s playing a character named “Simpson” on the show, and that he’s based on post-Vietnam War super-soldiers, though “reinvented” a bit for the Netflix series.
Simpson could be the Daredevil villain Nuke. Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli created the cybernetically-altered ex-soldier that has an American flag tattooed on his face. He was part of a super-soldier program that enhanced his abilities. IN the comics Kingpin hires Nuke to kill Daredevil.
