This series will be a brief, semi-comedic review of the CW superhero shows. You can check out last week’s review post here. The only shows discussed will be ‘Arrow’, ‘Flash’, and ‘Supergirl’. There WILL be some spoilers discussed, so only look at the reviews you’re up to date on!

2. The Flash, “Therefore She Is” (May 1st)

THE FLASH continues down the path of The Mechanic’s redemption. For those who don’t know the name, “The Mechanic” also happens to be The Thinker’s (former) partner. The series has started laying on Thinker’s sexism thick these past few episodes. Now, in the rather bland flashbacks, The Mechanic realizes she’d rather mindwipe the world’s population by herself. It’s at least a tad more compelling than the co-breaching problems that cause Cisco’s break-up. The most compelling story is Harry’s mental deterioration, only because it holds the key to the Thinker’s plans. We’ll have to wait and see if these various plot lines get more satisfying resolutions.

It also seems like the cliffhanger girl’s identity has been revealed. The young woman appears to be the time-traveling, Speed-force-having daughter of Joe West. The idea of a time-traveling Flash is nothing new for THE FLASH, nor is it particularly welcome, but it will be interesting to see where it will go.
