This series will be a brief, semi-comedic review of the CW superhero shows. You can check out last week’s review post here. The only shows discussed will be ‘Arrow’, ‘Flash’, and ‘Supergirl’. There WILL be some spoilers discussed, so only look at the reviews you’re up to date on!
3. Supergirl, “Fort Rozz” (Jan 22nd)
Kara assembles the Sisterhood of the Traveling Powers to stop the evil space jail priestess. Supergirl needs her gal-pals because she doesn’t have her powers, and also because blue stars are poisonous to boys? Anyways, this episode marks the end for Livewire, Supergirl’s oldest foe turned friend. It’s not a huge loss, as Livewire hasn’t been around long, but it illustrates how Reign isn’t cool. It’s an okay storyline that yields some entertaining fight scenes. There’s a fun B-plot of Alex being an awesome babysitter, and a boring C-plot of Braniac-5 being a jerk to Winn. The development of 3 Reign-like villains seems more confusing than exciting, but we’ll see where this new development takes the latter half of SUPERGIRL’s third season.
