In a big get for Gotham, Alexander Siddig joins the cast as Ra’s al Ghul. Thanks to Deadline we know that Siddig will appear on Gotham as Ra’s soon after the series returns on April 24th. It’s unknown as to how he’ll appear the show and in what capacity. All we know is he’ll be playing Ra’s al Ghul and that adds a new quirk to the Court of Owls story. Ra’s al Ghul is already a big bad in his own right so this adds an exciting new element to the series. Now we get to ponder how big a role Ra’s will play in the series as we near the end of the season. Ra’s Al Ghul makes life much more interesting in Gotham that’s for sure.

You have to admit that Alexander Siddig is perfect for Ra’s al Ghul in Gotham. Practically spot on in my opinion.

Considering you already have the Court of Owls, what role will Ra’s play? Ra’s al Ghul is a force on his own so will he be behind the Court of Owls? Will the League of Assassins be working with the Court? The possibilities are endless here as to what will go down. Seems like they’re going to set up that Bruce Wayne and Ra’s Al Ghul connection for one. Will Ra’s be helping Bruce? This could become a lot of fun and makes the latter half of Gotham a lot more unpredictable and exciting. I know in my own case, this makes me ecstatic for what’s coming next on Gotham.

On a quick personal note, I’m a fan of Alexander Siddig since his days on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He’s always been a favorite and I cannot wait to see what he brings to the role of Ra’s al Ghul on Gotham. After his time on Game of Thrones, I get the feeling we are in for a treat.
