Marvel And Netflix Drop A Bunch Of Teasers

Marvel and Netflix are a pretty awesome combination. Both Daredevil and Jessica Jones are great shows that tackle fascinating characters in realistic situations. The grim setting allows for more complex and intriguing stories. Some (like myself) would say that these shows are far superior to the MCU movies. So hype is at an all time high for shows like Luke Cage and Iron Fist. We knew that Luke Cage was going to make an appearance at San Diego Comic Con, but man there was a lot more exciting news that dropped for all the upcoming Marvel Netflix shows.

First up is Luke Cage. Michael Colter returns as the titular character. The show promises to go into Cage’s backstory and have a ton of action. From the looks of this trailer those promises will be fulfilled. Watch Luke Cage kick some serious ass in a fight reminiscent of the famous hallway scene in Daredevil. All 13 episodes of Luke Cage will be released on September 30th of this year.

Next is the ever elusive Iron Fist. Not much is known about the direction of the show, or what’s to come from series other than Finn Jones is playing him. However, it seems that Marvel has a lot to offer for Danny Rand. It looks like it’ll be more intriguing and psychological than what most fans are used to with the character. It also looks like the show will have mysticism included with Danny’s magic punching powers. Iron Fist debuts in 2017.

Then we roll around to The Defenders, which like its film counterpart The Avengers, will unite all the Netflix Marvel characters into one show. This is the only trailer that didn’t get me as excited as I wanted it to. Don’t get me wrong its not bad it’s just a little weak. The song choice felt wrong, the graphics weren’t as impressive, and the line of dialogue just felt cliche. But, I’m too excited about the show to care. The Defenders will also debut in 2017, after Iron Fist.

And finally we have a tiny announcement teaser for Marvel’s smash hit, Daredevil season 3. It’s barely thirty seconds long, and doesn’t tell a thing, but it gives all the right chills. Since there’s no announcement date for the season’s debut, fans will most likely have to wait until after The Defenders.

Well that’s all the teasers Netflix and Marvel dropped. Which one excited you the most? Let us know in the comments below.
