The nominations for the 69th Emmy awards were announced Thursday, July 13th. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite line up with our dream nominations. In fact, several phenomenal shows went completely overlooked. Many of the shows nominated are definitely deserving of love. However, many top comedies and dramas have been utterly snubbed. This list covers six such TV shows that deserve far more love than the Emmys are giving them.
3. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
If Modern Family is still getting nominations, there’s a far longer, superior comedy on air. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is perhaps the most irreverent, unique, and fantastic sitcom on air. The FX/X series has been going strong for twelve seasons. The Gang’s exploits have made for hilarious adventures for years, yet it’s never gotten nominated. It’s Always Sunny has been shut out for far too long. Many were hoping this year would break the snub streak, but alas, it did not. Perhaps 12 Years of Snubs will end with the 70th Emmy awards.
