Malachor was named in Rebels and Rakatan Prime was named in one of the visual guides. Both are now canon. In fact, everything that Disney has done since they bought out Lucas is canon; movies, comics, animation and books. This is the new expanded universe and I have no idea why people want to hold onto the old one. They’re now legends, exaggerated and embellished tales told throughout the galaxy. I understand people liked them but it’s confusing to new fans to keep referring to them.

It’s a bookshelf. The book with the Jedi Order logo on the cover is one of the books sitting on it. The shapes around it aren’t the Bendu, they’re driftwood. This is almost certainly part of the first Jedi Temple that Luke has been hanging out in for the past however many years.
