It’s Snyder, but also DC/WB fault. It is clear they want our money and don’t care of what they are putting out to get it. The line you say from the trailer is what turned me off BvS togethwr with Marta saying Superman doesn’t own us anything. After watching MoS, i did a marathon of the 10 seasons of Smallville to erase that horrible piece of crap and remember who Clark, Papa and Mama Kent where. Smallville and Donner’s Kents would never say to their Clarks they shouldn’t use their powers. They did ask him to be careful, but to leave kids die? Nope! From the trailer, it was also clear that Lex would be a lunatic opposed to the inteligent and focused (and lately really lunatic) Lex shown in Smallville. See how Kevin Feige or the Russos talk about Infinity War and you have that certainty that Marvel wants our money but is doing what they can to give us a great experience. I want that from DC. DC should fire Snyder’s posterior, decide in a plan, get good writers and directors and start again. Give their heroes some personality instead of everyone being a cardboard copy of each other. Make me want to cheer for them instead of to the villain to kill them so that our 2h torment ends.

Superman has been my idol for over 50 years. I was able to present Superman to my older kids as a hero to look up to and be like, (a role model). I now have two younger children that I hoped to do the same, but I refuse to take them to these movies, because I do not want them to use this Superman as a role model. I have a boy 8 and a daughter 11, she wanted to she Wonder woman and he wanted to see Superman, but I have to tell them no. My son calls Snyder’s creation, the evil Superman, because of how he acts and looks in all the trailers and because his suit is dark like the evil Superman in Superman III. plus he has no red pants. To say the least Snyder and DC has used these movies to push me to being a Marvel fan. They have good role models for my kids.
