But what I found most disappointing is the complete lack of a female perspective. Sure, all the stories are directed by women, but there is no “Feminine Perspective.” The perfect example is the third story, “Don’t Fall.” Like you mention, this one is an homage to the creature and slasher flicks of the 1980s. How cool would it have been if, within this homage, we get a completely new and original female perspective on this traditional setup? That’s what I was looking for, and the entire anthology lacked this female perspective.
