‘The Walking Dead’: Orlando Radio Personality Plays A Knight Of The Kingdom

The Walking Dead season seven episode two of “The Well” premiered Sunday and the audience found out what The Kingdom and King Ezekiel was all about. Morgan and Carol made their way to this community and the audience witnessed a realistic special effects tiger by the name of Shiva.

Now a local radio celebrity from Real Radio 104.1 is gaining strides as Carlos Alberto Navarro made his premiere in this episode as one of The Kingdom’s finest. He announced on his Facebook page that he plays Alvaro, a Knight of the Kingdom or a “Kingdomer.”

Here you see Navarro pictured with the other Kingdomers. Most who saw “The Well” witnessed this group gathered with Morgan and King Ezekiel as they made a little trip to The Kingdom’s secret.

The new Walking Dead cast member has been in film and TV for some time. Here is a sampling of Navarro’s works.

His auditions numbered around 15. Five years ago he got his first attempt for The Walking Dead.  Five years after that, Scott M. Gimple contacted him for the part.

At first he wanted to give up and others told him he never would get on the show. However, his driven spirit, focus, and his gumption to remain positive about the craft paid off. He advised others to keep the same attitude if their goal is to pursue whatever dreams they have in mind.

Michael Cudlitz had shadowed one of the episodes and Navarro talked about his audition experience with the Abraham actor.

“I was talking to him kind of in private and I told him about it and I was like,’ Yeah I auditioned this many times’ and he looked over at me and goes, ‘This is what Scott does, man. Aren’t you so glad you booked this one?'”

Isn’t it kismet that Navarro’s optimism regarding his craft coincides with King Ezekiel’s hopeful quote as seen written on the wall in episode two?

“Hope is the North Star, Let it guide you.”

Let’s hope that the North Star will guide Navarro/Alvaro on his journey with the cast and crew of AMC’s The Walking Dead which airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. EST.
