FOX’s Gotham ended season three giving fans of Batman a sizeable payoff to lead into season 4 with a proto-Batman.
At San Diego Comic-Con, FOX and Warner Bros. offered up a sizzle reel of season three and a preview to season 4 introducing a new face and series development to some key characters in Batman’s lore in Scarecrow and Joker. Barring some last minute bait and switch, I’m presuming the former Jonathan Crane will be still be played by Charlie Tahan and the former Jerome Valeska, played by Carmeron Monaghan, will be THE Joker as coy as the showrunners have been about the latter. Though the shot looks dramatically different from when we last left Joker? Perhaps it’s another copycat or Scarecrow hallucination?
Crystal Reed of Teen Wolf joins the cast of Gotham as Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Don Carmine Falcone (John Doman) to James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) take down the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor).
They join an already loaded cast in Donal Logue, David Mazouz, Morena Baccarin, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, Camren Bicondova, Cory Michael Smith, Jessica Lucas, Chris Chalk, Drew Powell, Maggie Geha, Benedict Samuel and Michael Chiklis.
The season three finale also saw the introduction for Ra’s Al Ghul (Alexander Siddig) to the fold manipulating Bruce Wayne (Mazouz) from afar, which will be interesting what kind of influence he’ll have on the future Batman from here on out. We also saw Selina Kyle (Bicondova) being taken under the wing of Tabitha Galavan (Lucas) to train her to her eventual Catwoman form.
How do you think the show is shaping so far?
