Continuing to make the rounds in New York Comic-Con comes news Rosario Dawson will be joining the Netflix Marvel show Iron Fist.
Dawson, who plays Claire Temple/Night Nurse in The Defenders universe, will continue her role as the connecting tissue between the shows. She made her debut in the first season of Daredevil.
Claire serves as a major supporting character on Daredevil healing Matt/Daredevil’s (Charlie Cox) wounds in both seasons.
On Jessica Jones, but she came through in a big way helping both Turk (Rob Morgan) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) recover from their wounds. She discovered a gruesome work around through Cage’s near-impenetrable skin to help with his head trauma.
On Luke Cage, Claire’s role expanded, not only in helping to rediscover Cage’s origins, but helped find the doctor whose experiments made Cage the way he is. Together, Claire and Dr. Noah Bernstein (Michael Kostroff) were able to recreate Cage’s experiment to help remove the shrapnel that pierced Cage from the Judas bullet. She also provided intricate support in unraveling the conspiracy orchestrated by Diamondback (Erik LaRay Harvey) at the end of the season.
In a later episode, Claire does pass up a flyer for martial arts training, which is not just an Easter Egg, but rather it sets her next path. With her expanding role with The Defenders, how do you think she’ll fit into the show? Who else do you think will be making a surprise appearance on the show?
Iron Fist comes out March 2017 and stars Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, and Lewis Tan.
