Thanks for taking the time to reply with these answers. Actually, these were already known to me, but I review #1 books from the perspective of a reader who has no familiarity with the character or their world. If a new reader picks up this book, they shouldn’t need to do any research outside of the book itself to figure out what’s going on. That’s really the point I’m making regarding the writing.
